Joan Collins has never admitted to plastic surgery, but surely the grand dame of soap opera has had a nip or tuck to retain her youthful beauty. In fact, it is so likely that Joan has been under the knife that Call The Midwife star Judy Parfitt is calling Joan’s bluff.
78-year old British actress Judy Parfitt candidly admits that aging is no picnic, but she also thinks that denying it is happening is “pathetic.”
Judy has appeared in numerous films and television shows on both sides of the pond and is currently starring on the BBC drama Call the Midwife. According to Judy, she has met up with Joan at various events over the years and that the Dynasty has clearly had plastic surgery. Joan has always remained mum on the subject of plastic surgery, which annoys Judy.
Judy says, “There is one woman, Joan Collins, who I’ve been to parties with, who’s had it done many times – but she totally denies it.
“She makes herself look a fool. An absolute idiot.
“I’ve got a lot of time for what she did for women when they were over 40 and she’s a game bird – she’ll still put half a foot of slap on her face and the wig and everything.
“But the thing that really irritates me is the way she goes on about the fact she’s never had anything done.”
“Getting old is a bugger. But you have to accept it or you’ll be as miserable as sin. Going and having plastic surgery is pathetic.
“You don’t look any younger. You look well for a bit until it starts going again but it takes all the character out.”
Joan has always denied going under the knife, but isn’t offended by the talk surrounding her smooth skin. At the age of 80, Joan is well known for wearing wigs and hairpieces, but she has denied plastic surgery for the past several decades.
However, based on Joan’s appearance, Makemeheal.com is inclined to agree with Judy’s opinion.
Joan does look like she has had several procedures over the years, including a facelift, browlift and eyelid surgeries. While most women Joan’s age have a lot of lax skin around the jawline, Joan is still tight, which seems to be an indication of a facelift. Her entire forehead seems high and there are no bags or excessive loose skin around her eyes, so an upper and lower eyelift could also be possible.
In addition, Joan may have had a nose job very early in her career as her nose is straight and slim and symmetrical and probably also uses Botox and fillers as well, to keep her brow unfurrowed.
Back in 2012, Joan was asked if she was offended that people suspect her of plastic surgery, to which she responded, “No, no. But you know what they say about plastic surgery, don’t you? It’s the plain woman’s revenge.
“The truth is I’ve always taken very good care of my skin, and always, always worn make-up.”
