When you see Jeff Probst hosting Survivor, no one would suspect that beneath the casual layers of clothing are some rock-hard abs. After all, game show hosts may be recognized for their genial personalities and camera-friendly faces, but not so much their bodies. Which is probably a good thing as some of the most famous game show hosts most definitely look better the less they reveal. However, apparently Jeff Probst is the exception to the rule.
Although Jeff regularly appears amongst the semi-nude contestants of Survivor each season, the host generally keeps his clothes on. Which is why audiences were shocked to see appear in the buff when he guest starred on an episode of the popular Two and a Half Men series. Sporting nothing more than a carefully placed tray of bacon, Probst played the role of a boyfriend of a woman that Ashton Kutcher’s character was interested in.
Even better than bacon proved to be finding out that Probst has a great body, especially for a 52-year old. At a time when many men seem to have let themselves indulge in the mid-life bulge, Probst is looking better than ever.
So what’s his secret? After his appearance on the show, Yahoo! TV interviewed the host who shared that his secret to looking good is making the effort to exercise daily.
“When you’re 20, you can party all night, wake up, do five push-ups and you’re good to go. I’m not 20 anymore, so if I want to stay in shape I have to get my butt out of bed and move my body,” he told Yahoo! TV.
As a reality game show host, Probst doesn’t spend a lot of time acting, but he definitely put his co-star and friend Jon Cryer to shame when he appeared on the show in his tighty-whiteys.
While exercise and diet is the biggest challenge Probst faces to being fit, he probably has a few other tricks to looking good up his sleeve as well. While Probst most likely hasn’t had plastic surgery, he probably takes plenty of precautionary measures to ensure that he is always camera ready.
Because Probst spends a lot of time in the sun in the crazy locations that his show films in, he most likely uses a quality sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB rays. In addition to preventing skin cancers, sunscreen also helps prevent signs of aging, such as sunspots and fine lines and wrinkles.
If Probst does spot any signs of aging, he may treat them with a chemical peel or laser treatment.
Despite usually keeping his clothes on, Probst has a remarkably even tan, which he probably got by way of the makeup department, which used a bronzer or self-tanner product to make sure that Probst had a golden glow all over his body.
Part of Probst’s daily routine may also include using men’s skincare products, which are especially designed to penetrate beards for maximum efficacy.
