Tamar Braxton is the youngest sister of the talented Braxton Family. Since her singing career began to lag and her family reality show ended, Tamar has become one of the hosts of The Real talk show, alongside other stars including Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, Adrienne Bailon and Tamera Mowry. Between starring on her own reality show, giving birth and recently releasing a Christmas album, Tamar is keeping herself busy. One thing she says she doesn’t have time for is plastic surgery.
In a recent interview with Ebony magazine, via Bossip.com, Tamara took time to discuss the many rumors surrounding her polished appearance.
Although in the past, Tamara has said that she has had any plastic surgery and definitely no nose job, in the interview she says that she did have work done on her nose, but that it was out of medical necessity, not for vanity.
Tamara says, “I don’t have plastic surgery. I never had plastic surgery. I had a nose procedure done because I had to. I had no cartilage in my nose, I have a piece of cartilage from my ear put into my nose. I had a medical procedure done. I have no plastic in my nose.”
She goes on to say that after revealing that she did have work on her nose, but doesn’t call the procedure a rhinoplasty, rumors ran rampant that the singer had also gotten Botox injections and injectable fillers. However, Tamara says that these implications are false and that she is all real and has nothing in her face or nose.
Tamara is also candid about her skin tone, which many consider too “light” to be natural. In the past she has said that she is naturally light-skinned and does not bleach her skin. In her interview with Ebony, Tamara expands further and says that she suffers from a skin condition, known as Vitiligo, and which she has had diagnosed. Vitiligo causes uneven skin tone, which Tamara says she treats not with bleaching, but with tanning so that her skin appears to be more evenly toned. She also adds that condition became worse and more noticeable with her recent pregnancy.
In the interview, Tamara does admit that if she doesn’t like the state of her breasts after giving birth—because they sag excessively—then she would most likely undergo a breast lift procedure to restore them to their original place.
It seems unlikely that Tamara’s pregnancy would actually cause her breasts to drop all the way to her “ankles” as she feared before having her baby back in June, but she would probably be relieved to find that recovery is a little easier after a breast lift with breast surgery recovery kit to help the healing process and reduce the appearance of scarring.
Tamara’s big sister, the more famous Toni Braxton has been rumored to have multiple plastic surgeries in the past, before her money woes. Toni has said that she has had breast implants and a nose job, so maybe she could give Tamara some advice if the younger Braxton opts to go under the knife.none
