  • Tara Reid has been a lot of things in her young career, going from trophy wife to America’s sweetheart to party girl. But things have gone downhill for Tara, as she has become better known for her botched plastic surgery than for her movie roles.

34-year old Tara Reid has unfortunately become a poster child for bad plastic surgery. Tara notoriously had a bad experience with liposuction and breast augmentation, leaving her with unsightly ripples on her stomach and misshapen nipples (See Makemeheal.com‘s story on Tara Reid’s plastic surgery mishap).

    Tara Reid, Corrective Plastic Surgery

Tara explained to UsWeekly, “My stomach became the most ripply, bulgy thing,” she told UsWeekly. “I had a hernia, this huge bump next to my bellybutton. As a result, I couldn’t wear a bikini. I lost a lot of work.”

Tara previously appeared in Playboy with her corrective surgery, but this is the first time she has appeared in public, supposedly unretouched (See Make Me Heal’s story on Tara Reid’s corrective plastic surgery).

    Tara Reid, Christmas Plastic Surgery

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “It is unfortunate that Tara Reid has had to go through this terrible experience with her plastic surgery complications.  The damage done one to her abdomen from her previous liposuction is very difficult to correct.  You can take fat from other areas and then inject that fat into the divots, but she doesn’t have much fat left to work with.  Her breasts most likely have a great deal of scar tissue from her multiple surgeries.  She should just stop having surgeries for now, let everything settle and then revisit any revisionary surgeries in a few years.”

Board certified Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer says, “In rare cases, liposuction and leave lumps or divots and contracted skin.  These are difficult results to “fix.”  However, fat grafting is an option which places the patient’s own fat cells between the muscle and skin in an attempt to smooth out the irregularities.  It is quite possible that this is the procedure that Tara Reid had as corrective surgery.”

It’s nice to see that Tara is feeling confident enough to sport a bikini again and hopefully she’ll stay out of the plastic surgeon’s office for good this time.
