The Expendables isn’t out until next week, but the film that showcases the greatest modern action hero stars also showcases some of Makemeheal.com’s favorite plastic surgery stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke and Sylvester Stallone.
63-year old California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger took time out from unsuccessfully balancing the state’s budget to do what he does best: kick ass. The former fitness fiend is rumored to have undergone numerous plastic surgery procedures, including facelift, chin adjustment, necklift and injectables and other procedures.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Richard Ellenbogen says, “Arnold Schwarzenegger is a 62 year old man. Now, honestly do 62 year old men look as good as him? He’s juiced with steroids and has had two heart operations. We hate to out manly men like Arnold, but his face is tight, his skin is not wrinkled, his jawline is anything but saggy. Duh! If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, it is a facelift, chin adjustment, necklift and probably a laundry list of injectables and other procedures…he looks great. Congrats to his plastic surgeon.” (See Make Me Heal’s story on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s plastic surgery).
55-year old Bruce Willis an action hero veteran, best known for his role in the Die Hard series. To declare Yippee Kay-Yay on aging, Bruce has likely undergone Botox injections or Restylane as well as a facelift and chemical peels or laser resurfacing (See Make Me Heal’s story on Bruce Willis’ plastic surgery).
64-year old Sylvester Stallone is the oldest member of the cast, but he manages to disguise his years though excessive physical activity and too much plastic surgery, including facelift and possible blepharoplasty surgeries as well as chemical peels and Botox.
Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer says, “The pictures of Sylvester Stallone show signs of face and forehead lift – including visible scars. His brows also show an unnatural peak and skin bunching laterally. He does look improved from previous post-op photos, presumably the improvement has come as the swelling has resolved and the tissues have softened.” (See Make Me Heal’s story on Sylvester Stallone’s Botox)
57-year old Mickey Rourke was better known for his bad plastic surgery than he was for his acting skills until his recent career comeback in The Wrestler. The Oscar nominee has been under the knife countless times for a facelift, possible chin, cheek and lower lip implants and possible multiple nose jobs.
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, Calif., said, “Obviously, Mickey Rourke looks as if he is overdone and stretched. He probably had cheek implants, face lift, brow lift, upper blepharoplasty and lip fillers, possibly something permanent.” (See Make Me Heal’s story on Mickey Rourke’s bad plastic surgery)
Despite their overuse of plastic surgery, all the men are fun to watch on film and Make Me Heal looks forward to viewing their combined talented talents alongside Jet Li and Jason Statham in The Expendables.
