  • Reality television star Lauren Conrad has managed to parlay her personal life into a successful fashion empire, helping her to stay relevant, despite no longer being a regular on TV. Living in LA and surrounded by plastic surgery both on and off screen, Lauren has managed to stay natural, as far as we know. But what does the fashionista have to stay about cosmetic surgery?

27-year old Lauren Conrad is as well known for her natural California style as for her bustling social life, which was previously chronicled on some of MTV’s first attempts at reality TV. With her castmates getting plastic surgery around her left and right, Lauren seemed content to stay the same.

However, just because she hasn’t actually been under the knife doesn’t mean that Lauren doesn’t have an opinion on the subject.

In an interview with Ok Magazine, Lauren says, “It’s hard because you’re in that position where you’re being criticized for everything. Do you ignore it, and try to be beautiful on your own and be happy with the way you look, or do you listen to the criticism? They put them on this platform, and they tear them apart and then they criticize them even more for changing themselves. It’s hard to say. I think you try and be confident with the way you are.”

Despite her confidence, Laurent has admitted to battling her own image demons, including cellulite (See Make Me Heal’s story on Lauren Conrad’s cellulite).
