The Emmy nominations have been revealed and before the ceremony, Makemeheal.com is taking a look at some of the male actors in the top categories and speculating on their plastic surgery prospects.
Lead Actor in a Drama
Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad
58-year old Bryan Cranston was outstanding in his turn as Walter White on the hit show Breaking Bad. Bryan likely hasn’t had any plastic surgery. Given his ability to change his appearance for every role, he relies on Hollywood costumes and makeup. If he did incur sun damage whilst filming the show in New Mexico, he could use some laser treatments to remove superficial signs of sun damage and premature aging.
59-year old Jeff Daniels looks much like he always has, with shaggy blonde hair. Gaining weight over the years appears to keep him looking young, rather than plastic surgery.
43-year old Jon Hamm hasn’t been under the knife, but he is inspiring plastic surgery in men who prefer to look more rugged than boyish. On the other hand, his girlfriend, actress Jennifer Westfeldt, is often criticized for her plastic surgery. She may have had fillers like Juvederm placed. On his blog, plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn remarks, ” Her cheeks look puffy and chipmunk-like – Sculptra injections in her cheeks?”
52-year old Woody Harrelson has suffered from hair loss for years, but manages to get around it by using human hair wigs for roles that require lush locks. In True Detective, his hair line went back and forth depending on the time period, thanks to the makeup department.
44-year old Matthew McConaughey appears to have had is a hair transplant a few years back to combat his hair loss. The results were good as his hairline was filled in with a very natural look. Like his costar and fellow hair loss sufferer, Woody Harrelson, Matthew’s hair looked dramatically different at different time periods on the show, thanks to great hair accessories.
54-year old Kevin Spacey doesn’t appear to have had plastic surgery and looks to deal with his hair loss with a modern take on a “comb over” hairstyle.
Lead Actor in a Comedy
41-year old Jim Parsons seems to rely on genetics and makeup to look younger than his chronological age, not plastic surgery.
53-year old British comic Ricky Gervais famously underwent a Hollywood makeover when making his transition across the pond. However, rather than go under the knife, he simply lost weight and tidied up instead of fixing his famous snaggled smile.
When 46-year old Friends star Matt LeBlanc first appeared on the quirky show Episodes, fans were shocked to see how gray his hair had become. It turned out that Matt had actually been dying his hair in his role on the Friends sitcom and was actually prematurely gray. Other than that cosmetic change, he appears to be all natural—with maybe some teeth whitening or veneers.
49-year old Don Cheadle shows very few signs of aging, but he also doesn’t show signs of plastic surgery. Most likely the talented actor takes good care of his skin with good skincare products and the occasional laser treatment to fight the occasional wrinkle.
46-year old Louis C.K. looks older than his years, thanks to his thinning hair. However, plastic surgery wouldn’t go with the comic’s everyman routine so it is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
64-year old William H. Macy relies on his acting skills to appear older or younger than his chronological age, which keeps fans guessing. He looks great but could consider laser treatments to help even out his skin tone.
