Mike Tyson turned heads even more than usual at a recent event when he turned up sporting not only his usual tattoos, but also some serious neckgear. Apparently, he’s had some surgery that resulted in a pretty serious-looking scar.
46-year old Mike Tyson apparently underwent some form of neck surgery that is common amongst athletes, resulting in a nasty-looking scar on his neck.
TMZ reports, “The former champ reportedly had titanium pins put in his neck to add support to a degenerative disk. ”
Tyson’s rep tells us, “Its a very common surgery, especially for athletes.”
The rep adds, “He feels great … just has to wear the neck brace to keep everything stable for the next 3 weeks.
Patients with gnarly scars often opt for a scar repair plastic surgery or may also explore the option of using several different types of scar reduction supplies, including silicone scar sheets, scar reduction creams and gels and Kelo-cote products.
Once Tyson’s neck gear is off, he’ll likely be back to his old self, with another life lesson learned.
