“You Again,” Stars Betty White, Jamie Lee Curtis and Kristen Bell Dish on Plastic Surgery
September 30, 2010 in Celebrity Plastic Surgery by Dana Jackson | 3 Comments
“You Again” is a multigenerational rom-com filled with familiar faces. Recently, the stars of the movie, Betty White, Jamie Lee Curtis and Kristen Bell were interviewed about a variety of topics, including plastic surgery.
88-year old Betty White has been in showbiz for 65 years and still looks great. Rumor has it the funny Golden Girl has a few plastic surgeries in her past, including a possible facelift and browlift (See Make Me Heal’s story on Betty White’s plastic surgery).
51-year old Jamie Lee Curtis has openly admitted to plastic surgery in the past, likely getting eyelid surgery known as blepharoplasty, but disliked it and now speaks against plastic surgery, calling it a fraud (See Make Me Heal’s story on Jamie Lee Curtis’ plastic surgery).
30-year old Kristen Bell has also said she doesn’t like the idea of plastic surgery, although some suspect she has had a nose job, which is why her nose is so narrow and pointed at the tip.
In an interview with AARP Magazine, the ladies discuss plastic surgery, saying:
Curtis: “There are people who, when you see them on the screen, there’s an audible gasp of “Oh my God.” They look terrible—or they’ve done something to themselves and now look like freaks…There is only one Meryl Streep and one Sigourney Weaver. But I could name 30 other actresses in their [age] groups who aren’t working today. Me, I’m getting my ass out of this business in a few years because genetically it’s not going to work for me.”
Curtis: [Speaking of Betty] “She’s 88 and hotter in Hollywood than anyone I know except maybe Justin Bieber!”
Bell: “Why are we all playing this gigantic game of trying to be who we were five years ago?”
Curtis: “Because everybody is saying that to get jobs you have to dye your hair and get injectables. It’s a conspiracy, a complete catastrophe, a surgical industrial complex. Somehow we are being fed this belief that to continue on we have to do this. Yet people are being disfigured. It’s shocking what people are doing to their faces.”
In a prior interview with Shape magazine, Bell swore off plastic surgery, saying, “I don’t have the urge to ever get plastic surgery.”
“I’m inspired by women like Annette Bening who are growing older gorgeously in Hollywood.”
“I don’t subscribe to the idea that aging is a bad thing.”
“I’m extremely optimistic about what lies ahead of me.”
“Look at Glenn Close, Helen Mirren and Meryl Streep, they’re the best at what they do and beautiful too.”
Bell’s views are interesting, especially as many believe that the actress has a nose job in her past.
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, Calif., says, “It is possible Kristen Bell has had work performed to her nose, as her tip appears very defined. She may have had Botox and facial fillers as well.”
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “It does not appear that Kristen Bell has had a Rhinoplasty. She has a slight dorsal hump which would have been removed if she had undergone nose reshaping surgery.”
Fans can catch the ladies, as well as their costars Sigourney Weaver and Kristin Chenoweth in theaters now.
