Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt is claiming to have suffered from a botched plastic surgery procedure. And if the procedure isn’t corrected to his satisfaction, he is threatening legal action.
70-year old Prince Frederic von Anhalt is legendary actress Zsa Zsa Gabor’s eighth husband and has the privilege of having been married to the ailing blonde the longest. The couple wed in 1986 and despite the fact that Zsa Zsa has been bedridden for a number of years, the Prince continues to throw parties and celebrations in her honor, including a 25th wedding anniversary bash back in 2012—which he advertised via billboard.
At the time of the special occasion he explained to the LA Times, “My wife is 94 years old. She should have everything she wants and should have everything large. This big party is not for the guests, not for the media, not for me — this big party is for Zsa Zsa.”
However, after the big event, The Daily Mail reported that Zsa Zsa had spent much of the party behind closed doors and away from the crowds.
The Prince has frequently enjoyed unusual media attention, as in 2007 when he was one of the men claiming to be the father of Anna Nicole Smith’s baby Dannielynn. Of course, later it was proved that Larry Birkhead was the child’s parent.
By making outlandish claims he has clashed with Zsa Zsa’s daughter, Constance Francesca Hilton, her only child from her brief marriage to hotel tycoon Conrad Hilton. Especially when he announced that he wanted his wife to once again become a mother, via surrogacy.
When his plans were made public, Constance told CNN, “That’s just weird.”
And in 2010, he ran for governor of California before pulling out of the race.
Now he claims to have suffered from a botched job on a “routine” plastic surgery procedure he had done on his face.
“They made me look like a monster!” the Prince tells TMZ, who wouldn’t say what the procedure was meant to do in the first place.
His lawyer declined to elaborate on the intention of the surgery but did say that they planned to sue if the procedure wasn’t corrected. In fact, Prince von Anhalt denies that Botox is the problem but won’t say exactly what it is, just that if he doesn’t see better results he plans to sue for the sum of $10 million.
It’s unclear what the procedure was, how it went wrong or if the Prince simply has unrealistic expectations of the results of something like a laser treatment being able to roll back the years. In any case, as he continues to complain about “looking like s**t,” hopefully he will also reveal the procedure.
For the record, Prince von Anhalt isn’t a natural-born Prince. Back in 1980, the then 36-year old was adopted by Germany’s Princess Marie-Auguste of Anhalt, who was the daughter-in-law of German Emperor Wilhelm II.
