Donda West’s Plastic Surgeon Arrested for Drunk Driving
The plastic surgeon that had operated on Donda West, Kanye West’s mother, before she died has been arrested on a DUI charge.
Dr. Jan Adams was arrested in the wee hours of Thursday morning after the California Highway Patrol received calls reporting a Jaguar traveling south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 680 near Benicia after using an offramp to enter the freeway.
He was caught driving without a license, which had been suspended following a previous DUI conviction from 2006. His blood alcohol level was above the state’s legal limit of 0.08% and he was booked into Solano County Jail.
Dr. Adams performed a tummy tuck, breast reduction and liposuction on Donda West, before she died shortly after the surgery. He has said he has done no wrong when performing her surgery. According to the LA Times, when he performed her surgery, the Medical Board of California was seeking to suspend or revoke Adams’ license because of prior alcohol-related arrests.
