Jeremy Piven Hides Hair Loss With Toupee

Posted on July 21st, 2008 in Celebrity Plastic Surgery by Jet H. Ross

As Entourage fans are eagerly awaiting Ari Gold’s return to premium prime time, Make Me Heal is eager to see what new toupees Jeremy Piven wears. Jeremy is notorious for wearing toupees in lieu of receiving plastic surgery for hair restoration.

Jeremy Piven, Hair Loss

Paparazzi captured very soon to be 43-year old Jeremy’s wig getting prepped for shooting a scene on the upcoming season of Entourage, when it returns this fall. Over the years, Jeremy has worn a variety of hairpieces to mask his rapidly receding hairline, even appearing au naturel from time to time, letting the world in on his secret.

Jeremy Piven, Hair Restoration

Unlike Brendan Fraser, Jeremy hasn’t yet turned to hairplugs, instead using hairpieces of varying shape to mask his baldness (See Make Me Heal’s story on Brendan Fraser’s hair loss).

Hair restoration exert Dr. Alan Bauman warns that relying on tape and glue to attach hairpieces can actually accelerate hair loss.

Jeremy Piven, Toupee

Jeremy’s method of dealing with hair loss is similar to the various hairpieces that John Travolta has worn over the years (See Make Me Heal’s story on John Travolta’s hairpieces).

Jeremy’s hair loss pattern starts at his forehead and recedes all the way to the middle of his head.

Some of his hairpieces are more successful than others and even if he decided to forgo the rugs altogether, we’d still watch his heinous shenanigans with the rest of the Entourage boys.

Jeremy Piven was on an early episode of Seinfeld about 15 years ago, and he was already bald. Not receding hairline bald, but George Costanza bald.

He has been balding…bald, for ages! He should just forego the toupes or the guys on Entourage should rag on him about it when they get mad at him in an episode. That way it allows him to continue to wear his hair piece, and everybody is in on the joke. Right now, the guys’ characters
on Entourage are too smart not to know Ari is not wearing a toupee.

Jeremy Piven has had surgical hair restoration beginning circa ten years ago. His hair’s appearance is “helped” both on and off screen with hair thickening and scalp shading products like Dermmatch, Toppik or Couvre.

Personally, I don’t blame him or even mind that he wears a toupe. It drastically changes his appearance for the better.

Ive often wondered about his “sudden” appearance of hair a few years ago! LOL My gawd… “cousin Spence” was literally sporting a chrome dome on the “Ellen” show(the first one with joely fisher)!

I’ve seen Dr Bauman’s hair transplant work, and he’s terrible. Just as bad is his warning about hairpiece glue. Any glue or irritant to the scalp actually encourages hair to grow, even if sporadically and temporarily.

Bauman’s opinion is as bald faced a lie as he is bald.

    WHAT DRIVEL!

Who cares if Jeremy Piven is going bald? He is very funny on Entourage and looks ok to me. F the toups and just be yourself.

Thanks… think to use natural treatment to avoid hair loss rather than use chemical product
