Tom Cruise is continually looking better than ever, drawing comparisons to the film character Benjamin Button. So how does the star do it? Hard work and a little plastic surgery.
50-year old Tom Cruise is thought to have at least one nose surgery and more recently, anti-aging procedures rejuvenation procedures like fillers and also laser skin treatments like Fraxel or CoolTouch (See Make Me Heal’s story on Tom Cruise’s plastic surgery). However, the blockbuster star has never admitted to anything plastic surgery related, despite the evidence.
Dr. Anthony Youn tells Today.com that Tom looks a decade younger than his chronological age, attributing Tom’s youthful appearance to several procedures over the years.
“I don’t think he’s found the Fountain of Youth, but he’s done the next best thing — found a good plastic surgeon,” says Youn. “He looks like someone who has had a plethora of the best cosmetic treatments available.”
“To look as good as he does, it’s not possible to have had just one thing done.”
Among the possible procedures are Botox injections as well as fillers like Restylane and Juvederm.
Youn believes he’s also had injections of facial plumper, such as Sculptra. “This guy is very lean, like the Madonna of men,” says Youn. “He has almost no fat on his body yet his face has retained softness. A 50-year-old guy with no body fat should be rugged looking, gaunt and have no fat on his face.”
Tom’s neck is also in good shape, which could be the result of a facelift or necklift, but Dr. Youn says is probably the result of regular laser treatments, such as ReFirme.
Dr. Youn notes that to make the treatments continually effect they must be done on a regular basis, which gets expensive for regular people. But spending thousands of dollars for Tom Cruise is nothing. “For a normal person on a budget it would be hard to keep up, but for him, it’s not a big deal.”
