Plastic Surgery Reigns At The Emmys
Sunday’s red carpet Emmy event was full of Make Me Heal celebrity plastic surgery alums, from nominees to winners to supporting cast members and celebrity hangers-on.
Jeremy Piven won in his category for best supporting actor in a comedy series for his work on Entourage. Make Me Heal has previously reported about Jeremy’s hair loss and his use of a hairpiece to cover up his drastically receded hairline. (See Make Me Heal’s story on Jeremy Piven’s hair loss). Make Me Heal enjoys watching Jeremy’s weekly portrayal of Hollywood agent Ari Gold and looks forward to the rest of the season.
Christina Applegate was nominated as lead actress in a comedy series for Samantha Who? Christina has recently won a battle with breast cancer and looked great although she is said to be undergoing plastic reconstructive surgery on both breasts. In the past, Christina has also had cosmetic plastic surgery, including Botox injections and a nose job to keep her looking fresh and young. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California, “Christina Applegate may have had some Botox, but, no way did she have a facelift. It looks like she uses a good skin care regimen.”
On the other hand, it seems that Christina Applegate may have had further plastic surgery, specifically a rhinoplasty (nose job), as evidenced by her seemingly man-made, chiseled tip. Dr. Nassif also raised this possibility, saying “She may have had a previous rhinoplasty; since her tip looks pinched.”
Mary-Louise Parker was also nominated for best lead actress in a comedy series alongside Christina Applegate and is also a Make Me Heal plastic surgery alum. In the past, the star of Weeds has spent a lot of time keeping her skin fresh and young. Mary-Louise has used Botox to eliminate lines and wrinkles and may have also had a lip augmentation as well as skin rejuvenation treatments such as CoolTouch, Active Fx, or Fraxel that help promote collagen growth and reduce lines and wrinkles. Phoebe Price, present at every red carpet event in Hollywood had her plastic surgery enhanced body front and center on the red carpet. Although no one is entirely sure how this infamously famous actress/model became famous enough to be photographed, she has definitely had her share of surgical enhancements. Her past plastic surgery history includes injectable fillers and Botox as well as lip augmentations. Vanessa Williams was nominated for her work as Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her work on Ugly Betty. She may not have won for her acting, but she definitely has been successful in her use of plastic surgery, from her acknowledged Botox use to her hidden nose job. Sally Field may have won last year’s Emmy for leading actress in a drama, but her plastic surgery still earned a nomination this year for her role on Brothers & Sisters. The former Gidget, Sally Field has likely had a facelift and a necklift, as well as maybe a blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). It is also likely that Sally’s youthful skin complexion has been aided by laser skin treatments such as laser skin resurfacing, Fraxel, or Thermage and dermal injections like Botox, Restylane, and Juvderm. The winner of best actress in a drama series is Glenn Close, for her turn on TV’s Damages. The multi-award winner has a rhinoplasty in her plastic surgery past. Glenn’s new nose is straight and long and narrow, giving her a regal appearance.
Although she no longer has a hit television show to call her own, Sex & the City star Cynthia Nixon won an Emmy for best guest actress in a drama series. The lovely redhead has previously denied any plastic surgery rumors, for procedures large and small, although Make Me Heal suspects Botox may be in her future. Although her show was nominated, Dexter’s Jaime Murray was not. Still, the British actress made a lovely appearance on the red carpet, despite claiming to not have had any plastic surgery. (See Make Me Heal’s story on Jaime Murray’s plastic surgery).
Heidi Klum, as the Host For a Reality or Reality-Competition for her work on Project Runway, was the only female nominee in her category. In the past, the supermodel turned television personality has had a breast augmentation and possible nose job, despite denying plastic surgery. The Emmys may not have gotten as many viewers as previous years, but most of the stars looked better than ever, with or without surgery.
