Sheryl Crow’s Botox Boost

Posted on July 10th, 2008 in Celebrity Plastic Surgery by Erica Hurtz

Sheryl Crow battled breast cancer and won and now it looks like she may be winning the battle with aging as well.

Sheryl Crow, Botox

Sheryl successfully beat breast cancer by opting for breast preservation therapy, which is when the surgeon takes the tumor out, leaving the breast behind but intact.

Sheryl Crow is 46-year old but looks as marvelously wrinkle-free as she did when she first became popular as a solo singer. Make Me Heal suspects that in addition to having an excellent skincare regimen, Sheryl keeps one step ahead of the fine lines that creep horizontally across foreheads by having Botox injections.

Botox relaxes muscles to prevent them from contracting and producing the appearance of wrinkles. Sheryl crinkles around the eyes when she smiles, but her forehead remains free and clear, indicating that although she likely uses the dermal injectable, she has used it sparingly to maintain a natural appearance.

She may also use occasional chemical peels, which remove subtle signs of aging like sunspots and fine lines to reveal and renew clear, youthful and refreshed skin.

Plastic Surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn told msnbc.com a few years back that he believes, “Like Susan Sarandon, she’s likely taken good care of her skin with top quality skin care products, and chemical peels.”

Like Make Me Heal, Dr. Youn also noted Sheryl’s smooth and shiny forehead, saying, “The lack of wrinkles in her forehead may even indicate a Botox injection or two.”

In the past, when speaking about plastic surgery, Sheryl has said, “What’s wrong with being a flat-chested girl? I think boys should feel good about the option of dating a girl who doesn’t have big boobs! The plastic-surgery thing is probably not my bag, ever.” In an interview with VH1, Sheryl Crow claimed she has never had plastic surgery: “Oh, shut up! I can always tell when people have had plastic surgery. Maybe in four years people have forgotten what I look like. A lot has changed, not just for me personally. A lot’s happened in the music business. It’s become very visually oriented. There’s a lot of attention on body and beauty. I’ve never relied on that part of persona for my credibility. I’m almost anti-image. I’ve suffered because of it, because you’re selling a product, which is yourself. Now it’s gone that way even more, so it’s fun to me. I feel like I’m on the outskirts of all of it. Anytime I look nice, people are like, “What has she done?” In the same interview, she talks about having good genes: “I feel lucky that way. I haven’t had anything done. I’m not a person that works out shamefully. I have good genes. My parents are thin, athletic-looking people. I like sports. I’m really lucky that I can go do those things and explore those parts of my personality, but it doesn’t have any reflection on my career. I feel sorry for women whose careers depend on that specifically.”

Make Me Heal thinks that Sheryl’s prudent use of anti-aging devices is well done and looks forward to hearing more of Sheryl’s music in the future.

She obviously had a nose job. Her teeth were capped. Look how gummy she was.

Hi. Sheryl Crow here. I have not had one thing done to my face, not that I think it’s anyone’s business. Your good doctor, in the article, has no idea what he’s talking about. He should meet my mother, who, in her 70’s, has beautiful, youthful skin and who uses Merle Norman and Renova. If you want to know what I use, I wash my face with Citafel gentle cleanser and I use Renuitrive creme by Estee Lauder. If I ever do decide to Botox, I’ll let you know. But, in the meantime, my face is as it is. As for Vilma’s very uncompassionate comments, I don’t know what to say except: bless your heart.

Way too funny! I believe what Sheryl says. My Mother too has beautiful skin. If you take care of it and get lots of sleep, it will be beautiful. Sometimes you can’t believe what a Dr. says especially if he’s writing for celebrity news. But Oh I love Sheryl Crow at any age and with any wrinkles she might have. It has nothing to do with her music or kindness as a person. She will age gracefully and wisely not falling for some of the trash procedures out there. I’m sure of it!

But if she had her forehead done, why would she leave out her eyes? it just makes no sense.

“Plasticopedia”– How hilarious! I like that Dr. Youn knows so much about someone without actually being their doctor – what a Standout Doctor! One (or should I say Youn?), only has to look at Estee Lauder and see she’s the bee’s knees!

I find it extremely amusing that jii thinks that Sheryl Crow looks; quote “rough”! I can’t envision any notion of Sheryl Crow being “rough”! She doesn’t even have a (visible if she does), tattoo.

If anything, she’s become daintier over time.

Why the hell people like to drag their noses where they dont belong? She is all so natural! And so is Nicole Kidman,Kate Winslet,Angelina Jolie etc.And even if they had plastic surgery it’s none of your bussines! And that smart doctor who thinks he knows everything, let him just stick with his own life and do not shit around! It’s none of his concern.
