Every bride wants to look her best for the big day. Brides want their bridal entourage to look good too and for years, spa treatments and massages have been gifts for bridesmaids.
First, beauty regimens of bridesmaids included spray-tans and the occasional Botox. Now, the stakes have gotten higher and it may not be enough to just spring for the dress, as some bridesmaids are also expected to have plastic surgery.
Plastic surgery can be very invasive and very costly. Not to mention a very personal decision to make. Yet more brides are asking their bridesmaids to get Botox, Restylane, laser treatments like Fraxel, liposuction, and even breast augmentations for the big day.
One bride-to-be blamed the new trend on the older age at which people get married. No longer are brides blushing and toned, but rather they are aging and may need extra help to look traditionally young and fresh, which means their entourage does too.
