  • Bachelorette Trista Sutter recently showed off the results of her plastic surgery, leading some to wonder if the reality show contestant turned wife and mother was too young to go under the knife.

39-year old Trista Sutter recently had an upper and lower blepharoplasty as well as breast implants and showed off the results to Life & Style magazine. According to Life & Style:

“After nursing both my kids for a year each, my boobs were deflated,” mom of two Trista Sutter, 39, reveals exclusively in the new issue of Life & Style. “And I had a droopy eye. It was something that I noticed in every picture I’ve ever taken.”

After visits with her doctor, Dr. Franklin Rose, in Houston, she decided to move forward with getting plastic surgery on her eyes and breasts — a blepharoplasty to lift her eyelids and remove the bags under her eyes, and breast augmentation with an internal lift that increased her cup size from a small B to a full C — all in one day.

“I realized that the surgery was something I had to do for myself, just for my own self-confidence and to feel good again about being in bathing suits and being intimate with my husband,” Trista, who fell in love with her husband, Ryan, on The Bachelorette, in 2003, tells the mag.

“He wanted me to be happy, so he said, ‘Whatever you need to do to make yourself happy, go for it,’” she says with a smile.

“I wanted to feel pretty again — and I do!”

Although Trista has come under fire for undergoing plastic surgery before reaching old age, she may have felt that she was looking older before her time. Trista looks great and it looks to be a case of plastic surgery well done.

Lorraine Bracco, best known for her role on The Sopranos and films like Goodfellas has openly talked about wanting plastic surgery, but being too afraid. However, it looks like Lorraine may have overcome her figures, with great results.

Since last year, 57-year old Lorraine  Bracco has talked about wanting plastic surgery, but had fears of “turning into a Picasso.”

Last year, she even scheduled an appointment with plastic surgeons, but walked out. “I’m really considering doing a lot of plastic surgery –  I want to do it so badly,” the actress, said on “The View.” “I go to the doctor but I just can’t do it. I’m afraid of turning into a Picasso – I see that in a lot of women, a lot of girls even. But inside I want to do it.”

However, the OCRegister has asked doctors whether or not Lorraine has overcome her fears of plastic surgery and the answer is a resounding “yes.”

“I guess she stayed long enough in the last plastic surgeon’s office to get a facelift and a blepharoplasty [surgery around the eyes] with an excellent improvement!” said Dr. Edward Domanskis, a plastic surgeon in Newport Beach.

“I’ll have what Lorraine’s havin’!” said plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow, also in Newport Beach. “Despite her fears regarding facial rejuvenation, Lorraine looks like she has undergone some ‘uplifting’ procedures. She looks amazing! Not too tight, very youthful and appropriate.

“My guess is a laser necklift, well placed Botox and fillers,” he said. “Bravo, Lorraine! Beautiful!”

And Dr. John Di Saia, a plastic surgeon in San Clemente and Orange, concluded, ”She’s not so afraid of fillers and botulinum toxin [Botox]. That looks like the major change, aside from some nasal work. She’s no plastic surgery-o-phobe, talk aside.”

While she may not have had a facelift, Lorraine is most likely using Botox and fillers to give her a little pick me up.

47-year old Ali Wentworth, comedian, actress, author and wife of ”Good Morning America” host George Stephanopoulos reportedly began talking about her plastic surgery before she even went under the knife for a blepharoplasty to help with her baggy eyelids, according to the OCRegister.

TV Matchmaker Patti Stranger of Bravo’s “The Millionaire Matchmaker,” says she’s had plastic surgery and is proud of it.

50-year old Patti Stranger is outspoken and has something to say about everything. Apparently her experience with plastic surgery is included in that everything.

Patti was a guest on “Watch What Happens: Live”, Executive Vice President of Development and Talent Andy Cohen’s program when a viewer asked why she looked different on the new season and whether or not she had had plastic surgery.

Patti immediately ‘fessed up to having eyelid surgery to treat her drooping eyelids, saying “I wanted a facelift. He [her doctor] wouldn’t give it to me.”

She then carried on saying, “We’re all getting plastic surgery. Come on, this is the game here, and HDTV exaggerates all the features. Yeah, I’m proud of it, because we’re all doing it. Nobody’s talking about it.”

She also admitted to Botox injections, saying that they help her migraines.

Her only regret about getting the eyelid surgery was not allowing enough time for plastic surgery recovery before filming on the new season began.

Good for Patti for talking about her plastic surgery.

With all the fuss about the return of Dallas to television, other popular late night dramas from the 80s have also been returning to the water cooler vocabulary. Like whatever happened to Donna Mills, a former star of Knots Landing. It seems that between a few acting gigs over the years, Donna has primarily been spending time undergoing plastic surgery.

72-year old Donna Mills guest starred on an episode of GCB, which got fans noticing how good she looks for a woman of her advanced years. The secret to Donna’s success is probably plastic surgery, including a facelift to tighten up her jawline as well as an eyelid surgery on both her upper and lower lids. Between acting gigs, Donna likely spends her time on facelift recovery as well as getting touch ups of Botox, fillers and laser treatments to keep her looking refreshed and nary a wrinkle in sight.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn tells RadarOnline.com, “She’s aging very gracefully… but, I suspect, with a little help from plastic surgery.”

“Her face is smooth and wrinkle free, the possible result of a combination of well-performed Botox injections, filler injections, and laser treatments. There is barely a wrinkle on her 71-year-old face!”

“Women in their seventh decade of life do not typically look this young without the help of a plastic surgeon.”

“I suspect that she’s undergone multiple cosmetic surgeries, including a facelift to tighten her lower face and jawline, upper and lower eyelid lifts, and possible fat injections.”

Donna is indeed looking good, if a little different than she used to.

Charlize Theron is undoubtedly one of Hollywood’s hottest women. But that doesn’t mean that the reigning Evil Queen isn’t immune to glancing in the mirror and considering plastic surgery in her fair future.

36-year old Charlize Theron has been rumored to have had nose surgery as well as Restylane injections in her lips to plump them and also Botox or blepharoplasty to help give her eyes a lift (See Make Me Heal’s story on Charlize Theron’s plastic surgery) in the past.

However, Charlize has never admitted to having plastic surgery, although she does admit in Interview magazine to being increasingly aware of her looks as she ages.

“There are days when I definitely look in the mirror and go, ‘All right, I need to find a cream,’” she tells the magazine.

“It’s hard in this industry, because I think so much importance is put on how you look,” she says. “I’m not brave enough to be like, ‘You know what? I’m just going to let it happen. Whatever. I’m so cool with every line on my face.’”

While Charlize hasn’t said anything about going under the knife in the past, or in the near future, she hasn’t ruled it out totally when is past middle age.

“I can’t foresee myself ever going under the knife, but then again, I’m only in my mid-thirties,” she says. “Maybe it’s different when you’re in your mid-sixties. So I don’t want to make statements about where I’m gonna be in 30 years.”

In the meantime, Charlize probably uses a heavy duty wrinkle cream from a luxury line like ZO Skin to fight off aging for as long as possible.

Whether or not Charlize goes under the knife in the future, undoubtedly she has a wicked way with aging.

Charlize Theron is both funny and beautiful, something that seems difficult for many women in Hollywood. At a recent awards ceremony, the Oscar winning actress got a few laughs when she joked about considering plastic surgery.

36-year old Charlize Theron manages to be young and beautiful and have curves in all the right places. But that doesn’t mean she isn’t subject to regrets like the rest of us. In fact, Charlize may regret not having breast implants after breast augmentation became popular.

“If I knew that 3D was gonna be such a big deal I would have gotten that boob job ten years ago,” Charlize Theron joked as she received the Distinguished Decade of Achievement in Film Award on Thursday, during the 2012 CinemaCon awards ceremony in Las Vegas.

On his blog, OcBody plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia writes, ” Funny. Charlize Theron might figure that 3D movies are a reason for an actress to get a boob job. Well as long as she didn’t go too big (she is a thin gal) she would do fine with one…or without one of course.”

In the past, Charlize has been suspected of having a nose job as well as Restylane injections in her lips to plump them and also Botox or blepharoplasty to help give her eyes a lift (See Make Me Heal’s story on Charlize Theron’s plastic surgery).

Charlize looks great, whether or not she has had or will have plastic surgery and Makemeheal.com congratulates her on her recent family addition.

Former American Idol Clay Aiken is sporting a new look for his upcoming role as a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice. With the released photos, many suspect that Clay has had plastic surgery to change up his looks.

33-year old Clay Aiken is amongst the most famous American Idol alums. His upcoming appearance on the latest season of Celebrity Apprentice has led many to suspect that he may have been spending some time undergoing some plastic surgery and plastic surgery recovery in his time away from stardom.

Clay’s face is considerably fuller, which is probably the result of adult weight gain rather than plastic surgery. Other noticeable changes are in his eyes and nose, which could be surgical enhancements such as eyelid surgery and a nose job.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Clay Aiken does have a very different look these days.  The biggest contributor to this is some weight gain that has filled out his face. He may have had some cosmetic enhancements such as a nose job (Rhinoplasty) and possibly an eyelid procedure (Blepharoplasty).”

Fans can find out if they like Clay’s new look, or if the release photos were excessively Photoshopped, when The Celebrity Apprentice premieres on Sunday, February 12, at 9/8c on NBC.

Tina Turner has been officially retired since 2000, but she still looks ready to rock. Makemeheal.com suspects that plastic surgery may be the reason for Tina’s continued youthful appearance.

72-year old legendary singer Tina Turner briefly came out of retirement to celebrate 50 years in the biz back in 2008 and giving Make Me Heal a chance to see her surgical improvements (See Make Me Heal’s story on Tina Turner’s plastic surgery), including Botox.

It looks as though Tina is keeping up her Botox injections and fillers and may have also had eyelid surgery as well. Staying out of the spotlight would give Tina plenty of time to undergo plastic surgery recovery without drawing unwanted attention.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Tina Turner has a very beautiful and smooth complexion.  She most likely uses Botox to her forehead, dermal fillers to her cheeks and to fill in fine lines, and she appears to have had her upper eyelids done (Blepharoplasty).”

Tina looks terrific and plastic surgery may be the reason why.

British newscaster Kay Burley is no stranger to plastic surgery. But apparently she didn’t realize the severe bruising that can result after a facelift, despite a minimal amount of pain.

50-year old Kay Burley splurged on a necklift and lower facelift earlier this year, and while pleased with the results, was shocked by how she looked immediately following surgery.

According to the Daily Mail, Kay didn’t have a painful plastic surgery recovery, however she was surprised by how bruised and battered she appeared to herself in the mirror, comparing the results to being in a car wreck.

“It’s a deeply traumatic procedure,” she said.

“It’s not painful at all, but when you look at yourself in the mirror, you think, ‘I’m never going to be me again’.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “A facelift recovery often looks worse than it feels.  Because the face is so vascular, there usually is a significant amount of bruising and swelling the first few weeks of recovery.  However, there really is very little pain associated with a facelift.”

Despite her initial shock, Kay has said that her new look was money well spent. After turning 40, Kay underwent a blepharoplasty and has said that she isn’t done with plastic surgery yet.

Not many Hollywood stars are comfortable admitting to plastic surgery, but Hong Kong import Chow Yun-Fat is so comfortable with it, that he even joked about it an interview.

56-year old Chow Yun-Fat is one of a few actors to successful make the leap from foreign films to mainstream American cinema. One of his secrets to success may be plastic surgery, in the form of eyelid surgery.

Apparently Chow suffers from lids that are droopy enough to require blepharoplasty, eyelid surgery; to help get rid of some of the sagging.  In the interview, he also intimated that he has had the procedure more than once, which is unusual as the first time usually corrects the problem.

In a television interview in South Korea on Dragonball promotion duties he said, “As I grew older, my eyelids began to droop. I began going for cosmetic surgery in Hong Kong when I was filming The God Of Gamblers in 1989.”

He even joked, “If you go to Hong Kong for cosmetic surgery, I can introduce you to the doctor. He’s cheap and good.”

Dr. David Shafer, celebrity plastic surgeon in New York City says, ” Usually one blepharoplasty is enough.  At this point, it looks like he would benefit from some Botox Cosmetic to his crow’s feet. ”

Although if Chow has especially droopy eyes, a touch up may be necessary now and then.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “It is possible to need a touch up over the years to get rid of extra skin above the eyes (called a Blepharoplasty); however, you must be careful not to overdo it.  You do need some loose skin so you can close your eyes properly.”

The action star looks great and seems to have had good experience with plastic surgery, which may help him consider giving Botox a try, considering the plastic surgery recovery is much more minimal than eyelid surgery.

Calvin Klein’s minimalist cutting edge designs have made him a fashion legend. And his own personal style has given him even greater status. As wrapped up with appearance as he is, has Calvin turned to plastic surgery to stay looking great?

68-year old fashion designer Calvin Klein is one of the hardest-working men in the biz. But he looks like he may take a little time off now and then to get some plastic surgery refreshments in the form of Botox and fillers like Restylane and Juvederm in his lips and cheeks.

Now that Calvin is dating a significantly younger man (21-year old model Nick Gruber), he may find that he has time to take off for some plastic surgery recovery and get a facelift and blepharoplasty that will help freshen up his appearance.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Calvin Klein appears to have used dermal fillers to his cheeks and possibly lips to give them such a full look as well as Botox to his forehead.  He does not appear to have had any facial surgery at this point, but could benefit from an upper blepharoplsty/eyelid lift and a lower facelift to rejuvenate his look.”

Calvin is always stylish and as youthful as his brand, with or without plastic surgery.

Best known for being the prosecutor during O.J. Simpson’s famous trial, Marcia Clark is looking different these days. Makemeheal.com suspects that plenty of plastic surgery is responsible for keeping Marcia looking better than ever and fresh-faced for her numerous public appearances.

58-year old Marcia Clark was once a frizzy-haired frazzled looking attorney, with bags under her eyes and deep wrinkles. But that was fifteen years ago. These days, Marcia looks sleek and sophisticated and well-rested enough to promote her books and offer her professional opinion on the legal woes of celebrities.

In addition to changing up her style, going from brunette to blonde and back to brunette, Marcia appears to not only have discovered how to straighten her hair, but also the services of a plastic surgeon. Since the famous O.J. Trial, Marcia has likely gotten breast implants and sometime after breast augmentation, a facelift and eyelid surgery as well.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, ” Marcia Clark looks very refreshed these days.  She appears to have had a facelift and her eyes done (Blepharoplasty).  You know she had work done but she still looks natural- just a younger looking version of herself.”

Marcia’s plastic surgery makes her look polished and professional and ready to take on any legal action that comes her way.

Vladimir Putin is once again running for President of Russia and once again is causing speculation that he has had plastic surgery.

59-year old Vladimir Putin is once again under speculation of having plastic surgery, after debuting a wrinkle-free look on television. The Prime Minister of Russia may have had a facelift, as well as blepharoplasty and possible Botox injections.

ABC News speculates, ” Putin, like Kim Kardashian before him, is the latest celebrity to cause wild speculation online about whether he recently had some work done.”

“Putin, who turns 59 next month, appeared at an event over the weekend to accept his party’s presidential nomination.  His skin looked smooth and taught, visibly free of wrinkles and bags under his eyes.”

“The Russian magazine New Times ran an article earlier this month titled “What Has Happened with Putin’s Face?” Four plastic surgeons told the magazine he likely had undergone plastic surgery – receiving Botox injections in his forehead, an eyelift, and cheek injections.”

Prime Minister Putin likely has only one procedure at a time, to minimize the downtime from plastic surgery recovery in his busy schedule.

On his blog, plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn writes, ” If I was a plastic surgeon in Russia, I’d be afraid to speculate on him.  This isn’t the first time he’s come under scrutiny for having possible plastic surgery.  I previously commented on a possible eyelid lift and necklift.”

In an older post, Dr. Youn writes, “If I had to guess I’d say he probably had a minor injury on part of his face, maybe from walking into a door in the middle of the night.  He doesn’t appear to have had a facelift, although an upper blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) is possible.  The skin of his neckline is still somewhat loose, and there are no telltale scars around the ears to signify a facelift.”

“Even if I thought he had plastic surgery, I don’t know if I’d admit it.  He’s one scary dude.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “ It is possible that Vladimir Putin has had Botox injections to his upper forehead.  His eyes definitely appear to have had a little work as his eyelids are remarkably smooth and look like that of a 25 year old.”

The former president and current Prime Minister is running for president again, leading to international speculation about his plastic surgery.

Madeleine Stowe is one of those people that pops up in great films every few years, including The Last of the Mohicans and Twelve Monkeys. Now that she’s starring on primetime’s new hit series Revenge, Makemeheal.com couldn’t help but notice that the veteran actress is still as unlined as ever, indicating that plastic surgery must certainly be at play.

53-year old Madeleine Stowe plays her Revenge role to a T. As a privileged wife of the very wealthy, Madeleine looks as though art may be imitating life, giving her minimal plastic surgery recovery time thanks to treatments such as Botox injections. Combined with great genes, Madeleine’s plastic surgery is likely pretty minimal but may have also included some fillers and even a lower eyelid surgery in the past.

Dr. David Shafer, celebrity plastic surgeon in New York City says, ”While there are no signs of surgery, she does look great, so my vote would be for good genes and good docs.  When done correctly and in the right patients, plastic surgery can be very effective while remaining natural.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Madeleine Stowe appears to keep her youthful look using cosmetic treatments such as Botox to her forehead and around her eyes (crow’s feet), dermal fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm to her folds and to plump up her lips.  She possibly had a lower blepharoplasty to tighten up some lose skin under eyes.  She looks good and very natural. ”

Madeleine’s new role is very juicy and Makemeheal.com looks forward to watching the Revenge plot thicken as the show airs on ABC.

Burt Reynolds has long to be thought to have turned to plastic surgery in order to retain his rugged good looks. But the actor has recently denied having been under the knife.

Burt Reynolds has long been suspected of undergoing a facelift and blepharoplasty, as well as various hair transplants or wig choices.

Yet he 75-year-old actor tells OK! Magazine his face is untouched. “I was never lifted. I would not have a problem with the truth, but I inherited my smooth skin from my father.”

    DAILY TIP

As Burt may want to stop having more plastic surgery, he should consider using some professional-level home anti-aging laser devices such as Tanda Palovia Anti-Wrinkle Laser Device, Clarisonic Skin Brush , and Microneedle Derma Rollers.

Tanda Skincare System              Palovia Anti-Wrinkle Device                                Microneedle Derma Roller

Burt may not have had a facelift, but he may have decided to use Botox and facial fillers to help augment his genetically smooth skin.

Dr. David Shafer, celebrity plastic surgeon in New York City says, “A little Botox Cosmetic and dermal filler can go a long way in helping to rejuvenate the face if someone does not want surgery.”

While Burt denied ever having a facelift, he did admit to undergoing plastic surgery recovery after getting a blepharoplasty to help correct damage done to his eyes after one too many fight scenes.

“In the mid ’80s, after some fights in a film, I had to have my eyes done,” he says. “For one, I almost went blind because I got black powder in my eye. Also I had terrible sacks under my eyes from the many fist fights. My eyes were not in form any more. I had that corrected.”

However, Burt could just be conveniently forgetting the facelift.

On his blog, plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn writes, ” -Hysterical laughter-  If Burt hasn’t had a facelift, then I’m a Teletubbie!  His skin is excessively tight and he has a ‘sweeping’ appearance to his cheeks.  This is just my opinion, but he doesn’t look anything like the rugged Burt of Smokey and the Bandit.  If he doesn’t want to admit to having a facelift, then maybe he should just answer with a ‘no comment’ when people ask him!”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “ Burt Reynolds’ hair amazingly seems to get thicker with age.  I believe it is probably a combination of hair pieces and hair restoration treatments that give him that look.  It is common; in fact we basically expect it these days, for celebrities to deny their plastic surgery enhancements.  The truth is, Burt Reynolds looks good and he should be proud of his appearance.”

Makemeheal.com looks forward to seeing what he does next.

Bad boy Jesse James is facing his new life as a single man with his wide open, thanks to a possible eye job.

42-year old Jesse James famously cheated on ex-wife Sandra Bullock (Read the complete story on Sandra Bullock’s plastic surgery) before becoming engaged to tattoo artist Kat von D (See Make Me Heal’s story on Kat Von D’s plastic surgery). Between it all, Jesse looks as though he might have begun having trouble seeing caused by drooping eyelids.

Most likely Jesse had a blepharoplasty to correct the drooping and underwent plastic surgery recovery to help correct his vision.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Jesse James had severe “hooding” or eyelid dropping that does appear to have been improved.  It is not a dramatic aesthetic improvement; however, the improvement in alleviating some of the obstruction to his vision that he was most likely dealing with has probably been the more significant improvement achieved from the eyelid lift.”

Dr. David Shafer, celebrity plastic surgeon in New York City says, “Based on the pictures, Jesse James has either had some eye work or just has a little more rest.  Either way, simple procedures such as pinch blepharoplasty can take years of wrinkles way during a short procedure with minimal recovery.”

Jesse is looking good and may yet find another woman to spend his life with.

Whitey Bulgar topped the FBI’s list of most wanted criminals, coming in just behind Osama bin Laden. Although Whitey has evaded capture for decades, just last month the authorities brought him to justice, thanks to his plastic surgery-loving girlfriend Catherine Elizabeth Greig.

81-year old Boston native Whitey Bulgar was living quietly in an apartment complex in Santa Monica with his 60-year old girlfriend Catherine Elizabeth Greig. Whitey has long been wanted by the FBI for allegedly heading a crime group that was allegedly involved in extortion, drug deals and various other illegal activities in the Boston area.

The FBI was able to close in on Whitey by following Catherine’s activities, which included regular plastic surgeries and maintenance appointments.

Catherine has likely had numerous plastic surgeries over the years, possibly to help change her appearance to avoid capture, or just to help maintain her youth like the rest of us.

Over the years, Catherine has likely undergone upper eyelid surgery, a nose job and facial liposuction. She probably also gets regular Botox injections and facial fillers placed in her lips and cheeks. Botox and fillers are non-permanent procedures and must be reinjected approximately every six months. Heading to the plastic surgeon’s office on a regular basis may have helped investigators find her and Whitey’s hideout, where she likely spent some time undergoing plastic surgery recovery, relaxing with a bed wedge in between procedures.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Catherine Elizabeth Greig appears to have had several cosmetic procedures performed to her face such as an upper Blepharoplasty (eyelids), her nose, some facial liposuction- possibly creating the divot on her cheek, and dermal fillers.  Non surgical treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers only last approximately 6 months and would need to be redone at that time.”

The couple has been extradited to Boston since their arrest, where family and friends of their victims look forward to seeing justice served after many years.

In an interview with Prevention Magazine, Nutrisystem spokesperson Marie Osmond revealed that in addition to weight loss, she’s had a few non-invasive plastic surgery treatments. But MakeMeHeal.com suspects the celebrity has also had some more plastic surgery that she’s not talking about.

51-year old Marie Osmond is back with her brother Danny, dancing the nights away in their Vegas revue. But in between gigs, Marie likely also takes a little time out for some plastic surgery recovery, to help her heal from her past plastic surgery and prepare for future treatments (See Make Me Heal’s story on Marie Osmond’s plastic surgery).

In an interview with Prevention Magazine, Marie revealed her thoughts on cosmetic surgery, saying, “We cherish youth more than we do wisdom. Will I do it? I’m sure. Nobody wants to have a saggy jowl. Is it bad to do? I don’t think anything is bad if it makes you feel better….I’ve had HydraFacial, which is a non-laser skin resurfacing. I had a second procedure, which was done with infrared light; it tightens the skin and stimulates collagen to make your face look more toned. And I use a lot of sunscreen.”

Marie mentioned laser treatments, but she seems to be skipping mentioning some other possible procedures, including Botox injections as well as fillers like Sculptra in her cheeks and Restylane or Juvederm in her lips.

In addition to Botox and fillers, Marie may also have had some invasive procedures, like a facelift, forehead lift and blepharoplasty and maybe some body countouring like liposuction as well.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Marie Osmond has transformed her look over the years.  Weight loss does have a lot to do with it, but so does her cosmetic surgeon.  She appears to use Botox to her face, dermal fillers such as Sculptra to her cheeks, and Restylane or Juvederm to her lips, her nose appears refined and her eyelids remarkably perfect for her age.  Weight loss is great for your health and your body, but sometimes it can make you look older in the face.  She may have also had a facelift creating her youthful look.”

On his blog, OcBody plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia writes, ” Marie Osmond has done a whole lot more than just losing weight. The Nutrisystem spokes model did an interview with Prevention magazine recently and apparently said she would likely have plastic surgery. She didn’t say much about the surgery she’s already had.”

“Looking at this image from 2007 compared to the more recent one, she’s had a bunch of facial work….probably a facelift, forehead lift, and eyelid surgery to be conservative. She’s likely had some body work as well. It looks good but she’s not talking about it.”

Marie has had a lot of personal issues the past year or so, so it’s nice to see her recovering, with or without plastic surgery.

Jamie Chung has come a long way as an actress since her days on The Real World: San Diego. These days Jamie is looking a little more mainstream, which could be due to some plastic surgery.

28-year old Jamie Chung recently appeared in the hit film The Hangover: Part II, with a slightly different look than she sported in the past.

The actress could owe her new popularity to plastic surgery and enough time away from the camera to undergo plastic surgery recovery as well. Jamie looks like she has had eyelid surgery and she may have had a little Botox injected into her brow area as well, in addition to her forehead.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Jamie Chung’s eyes do look more vibrant.  She could have had an eyelid surgery giving her a more curved look to her eyes.  She could have also used Botox giving her a beautifully smooth forehead and a slight lift to her brows and upper eyelids.”

Jamie is continuing to gain exposure and her plastic surgery seems to have boosted her career in the right direction.

Christie Brinkley is showing why she’s a supermodel. Not only does she have a killer body, she must also have a stellar plastic surgeon.

57-year old Christie Brinkley recently appeared on Good Morning America and turned more than a few heads by rocking a short red Herve Leger bandage dress much better than many women half her age could have done.

Beyond the jaw-dropping body, Christie’s face looks much the same as it did when she could be seen on every magazine cover. In the past, Makemeheal.com has attributed Christie’s ability to retain her youthful appearance with plastic surgery, including a facelift and a blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) to get rid of eye bags, a mini necklift to get rid of the appearance of sagging jowls and may also use fillers like Restylane and Juvederm to stay looking firm and plump in the cheeks department. In addition she may have CoolTouch, Active FX or Fraxel laser treatments help minimize fine lines and facial blemishes and reduce the effects of sun damage(See Make Me Heal’s story on Christie Brinkley’s plastic surgery).

On his blog, OcBody plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia writes, ” She looks great for 57 and has had help…very good help facially as her images have shown for years. She has really not aged much facially in decades essentially looking too good to not have had a facelift. I’d say it is likely she has had at least one facelift with eyelid surgery and a forehead lift.”

Fans can catch Christie showing off on Broadway, when she makes her appearance as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago.

Beauty queen turned actress Mary Ann Mobley still looks good, even years after the last episode of The Love Boat has sailed, a good indication that the former Miss America has had plastic surgery.

72-year old Mary Ann Mobley began her career as Miss America and expanded her role to include classic television shows like The Love Boat and Fantasy Island, among numerous others.

Since her career heyday, Mary Ann has likely had a few nips and tucks along the way, including a facelift, necklift, browlift and eyelid surgery. She likely also uses fillers such as Sculptra in her cheeks and Restylane or Radiesse in her lips and Botox to smooth out her forehead.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Mary Ann Mobley appears to have had multiple cosmetic facial surgeries including face, neck, brow and eyelid lifts.  She also most likely has used a filler such as Sculptra to augment her cheeks and Restylane or Radiesse in her lips and Botox to her forehead.”

Mary Ann has been married to Emmy-winning actor Gary Collins for many years and Makemeheal.com wishes the television couple many more, with or without plastic surgery.

Florence Henderson may still be Mrs. Brady to millions of television fans, but her remarkable ability to retain a striking resemblance to the iconic character she played four decades ago is likely the result of plastic surgery.

77-year old Florence Henderson is still a Hollywood favorite, popping up on all kinds of visual media projects to the delight of The Brady Bunch fans. These days the famous housewife is still smiling and looking good, thanks to plastic surgery (See Make Me Heal’s story on Florence Henderson’s plastic surgery).

Florence has most likely had several plastic surgeries to help her retain her classic television looks, including a facelift, eyelid surgery as well as fillers like Restylane and Juvederm in her lips and cheeks. The results are very good, and she doesn’t look at all “plastic.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Florence Henderson appears to have had a “bunch” of cosmetic procedures to her face such as an eyelid lift or Blepharoplasty, facelift and fillers to augment her cheeks and lips.  She looks good and not over done.”

Carol Connors is still writing and performing songs, now with more than a touch of plastic surgery. The so-called “Dolphin Call Lady,” has worked with famous performers over the years, from Elvis Presley to Victoria Beckham and is still going strong with help from cosmetic surgery.

70-year old Carol Connors is no shrinking violet, with bright red hair and even bolder lips. While her lips would stand out thanks to the brilliant slash of red lipstick, Carol also appears to be enhancing them with fillers (which she probably uses elsewhere as well, including in her cheeks).

In addition to the lip fillers, Carol has probably also had some more invasive plastic surgery procedures to combat the sands of time. Her procedures include a facelift, browlift, and eyelid lift. Like many stars, Carol has probably also had a nose job.

All of the combined work has certainly made Carol standout, but not for aging gracefully. Her plastic surgery was very aggressive, as is her use of makeup.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Carol Connors appears to have had an aggressive Brow Lift along with an eyelid lift, Facelift, Rhinoplasty and possibly fillers to various areas of her face including her lips.  The results appears to be slightly over done and has an unnatural appearance.”

The Academy Award nominated Carol is still going strong, performing hits from the numerous films she has written songs for over the years, from Rocky to The Rescuers.

Mitzi Gaynor starred in musicals back in the genre’s heyday, but plastic surgery has kept the perky blond good looking enough to continue touring.

79-year old Mitzi Gaynor appeared in films including There’s No Business Like Show Business and South Pacific and continues to wow audiences. Makemeheal.com was wowed by the well-done plastic surgery that the singer/dancer has undergone over the years.

Despite having plenty of plastic surgery, Mitzi still looks good and not at all “plasticized.” She probably had a nose job early in her career as her nose is very small, pert and defined. More recently, she has likely had numerous anti aging procedures including a facelift, necklift as well as a browlift and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Mitzi Gaynor appears to have had several facial procedures including face, neck, brow and eyelid lifts.  She has a very defined nose most likely from a nose job or Rhinoplasty procedure.”

Mitzi continues to be active in and inspire the dancing community, appearing with recent dancers from High School Musical, So You Think You Can Dance, and Dancing with the Stars.

Fans of Mitzi can check out her one-woman show, Razzle Dazzle: My Life Behind the Sequins, which tours around the country.

You might not have heard of Cindy Jackson, but she’s the world record holder for having the most plastic surgery procedures in the world.

In a recent interview with ABC News, 55-year old Cindy Jackson talked about spending $100,000 on 52 plastic surgery procedures including: “14 full-scale operations, Botox, five facelifts, work on her upper and lower eyelids, knee liposuction and even injecting collagen into her hands to minimize her veins and tendons.”

For someone who has been under the knife so many times, Cindy looks remarkably normal, not at all like the Jocelyn Wildenstein disaster you would expect (See Make Me Heal’s story on Jocelyn Wildenstein’s plastic surgery).

She says, “For me, the best result is one that looks natural. I wouldn’t ever want anyone to stop and stare at me and say ‘that woman’s had a lot of surgery.’ I would never want to look like I’d had anything done.”

Although many would expect someone who has been under the knife so very many times to have some sort of agenda, Jackson says that breaking a record was never her intention. Her view on plastic surgery is very different from that of Sheyla Hershey, who wanted to have the world’s biggest breast implants at the risk of her health (See Make Me Heal’s story on Sheyla Hershey’s plastic surgery).

Cindy explains, “I didn’t set out to break, to set a world record, it was never my ambition, it’s just that I had so much done.”

On his blog, OcBody plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia confesses to having mixed feelings about Cindy’s numerous plastic surgeries.

“I used to feel badly about patients who had had so much surgery, but patients like Cindy Jackson seem so well adjusted I am not sure anymore. Overall she still seems to look better than she did beforehand, but how much surgery is too much? There are some surgical “artifacts” in her facial movements which are bound to be present when so much surgery has occurred.”

“In the big picture, five facelifts does seem like too many for a middle aged woman. Then again she is happy so who am I to take that away from her?”

“I went from feeling badly about these types of cases to being a bit conflicted.”

Whether or not Cindy meant to set a record for plastic surgery, she did. When she’s not setting world records; she gives advice on plastic surgery and anti-aging and even does some modeling.

Actress and dancer Ruta Lee appeared in numerous musicals in the 50s and 60s and now it looks like she’s making regular appearances in the plastic surgeon’s office.

78-year old Ruta Lee is best known for her role as one of the brides in the musical film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, after which she appeared in numerous other musical classics and later became a semi-regular on a number of game shows.

These days, Ruta still looks like her old charming self, making various public appearances and very active in charity work. Part of Ruta’s charm is likely due to plastic surgery. Although she has had a lot of work, it all looks very natural and not too pulled or tight.

Ruta’s plastic surgery procedures probably include a browlift, facelift, necklift, blepharoplasty as well as Botox between her eyebrows and fillers like Restylane and Juvederm injected in her lips and cheeks.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Ruta Lee appears to have had Botox, facial fillers, a browlift, and possibly a facelift. Any work she had performed was not too overdone, and she looks great for her age.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Ruta Lee appears to have had several cosmetic facial procedures done including face, neck, brow and eyelid lifts.  She also appears to have injected fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm into her lips and probably cheeks as well.”

Ruta Lee has been rewarded for her contributions to Hollywood history with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Behind the stage makeup, Kiss vocalist Paul Stanley looks like he’s had way too much plastic surgery.

59-year old rocker Paul Stanley has been under the knife almost as much as he’s worn platform boots. The Spandex and sparkles lover looks to have undergone an overaggressive facelift, as well as a browlift, eyelid surgery and a bad nose job as well as a lip augmentation.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Paul Stanley appears to have had several facial procedures done including a face and browlift, his eyelids (blepharoplasty), his nose and a lip augmentation. His results appear slightly overdone.”

Paul isn’t the only Kiss member to have gone under the knife in an attempt to turn back the years. Gene Simmons famously underwent a facelift, along with his wife, Shannon, on their reality show The Family Jewels (See Make Me Heal’s story on Gene Simmon’s plastic surgery).

Paul can rock and roll all night, but plastic surgery is a vice he should probably stay away from in the future.

The circumstances surrounding the incident vary, but Israeli model and plastic surgery queen Orit Fux was apparently bitten by a snake in her oversized breast implant.

Sometimes referred to as the “Pamela Anderson of Israel,” Orit Fux claims to have the largest breast implants in the tiny nation. Although her age is unknown, Orit looks like she’s been going under the knife for many years, not only to have silicone breast implants from makers Mentor or Natrelle, but also to have considerable work done on her face.

In the past, Orit has had at least one nose job, a possible browlift and eyelid surgery and an overload of Botox injections as well as fillers like collagen in her lips as well as Radiesse and Sculptra injected into her cheeks, resulting in a very overdone appearance.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Orit Fux appears to have had a rhinoplasty, browlift, Botox, facial fillers, possibly a blepharoplasty, and an overaggressive lip augmentation.  Overall, the work she had performed was overdone, her look is very artificial, and she should refrain from having any additional procedures.”

Orit recently made international headlines when she was modeling with a snake and the snake bit her in her breast implant. Orit was taken to the hospital for a tetanus shot, but the snake reportedly died from silicone ingestion.

If the snake managed to puncture the implant, it should definitely be removed and replaced.

On his blog, OcBody plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia writes, “Wow a verified death from silicone ingestion. I am sure someone will try to say saline implants are just as deadly. ”

“Yes, the implant should be removed and/or replaced. ”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Orit Fux appears to have had several cosmetic procedure s done including a breast augmentation, a Rhinoplasty or nose job, Botox to her forehead and dermal fillers to her face and lips. If her implants were punctured by the snake bite then they would need to be replaced.  Breast implants are extremely strong so they may be just fine.”

Plastic surgery has given Orit a striking, if somewhat appearance and plenty of fodder for the international Internet gossip mill.

After years of suffering the media’s abuse due to his bad plastic surgery, country legend Kenny Rogers is apparently calling it quits on plastic surgery.

72-year old country singer Kenny Rogers is also the father of six-year-old twins Justin and Jordan. In an attempt to appear younger, Kenny went under the knife for a facelift, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) as well as a browlift and probably uses Botox injections as well (See Make Me Heal’s story on Kenny Rogers’ plastic surgery).

In a recent interview, Kenny is quoted as saying that he is done with plastic surgery.

The Gambler says, ” At my age now, I would never do that again because I have two young kids and there’s a danger with any surgery.”

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Kenny Rogers would not benefit from any further surgical procedures to his face at this time.  Whether or not he chooses to refrain from having further procedures performed is a personal decision. ”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Kenny Roger’s previous cosmetic surgery results appeared to have been a bit too aggressive for him.  It was very obvious that he had his eyes done.  It is important to communicate you r goals with your plastic surgeon whether you are looking for an extreme makeover result, or just a subtle rejuvenated-looking result.  If Kenny Rogers decides to have additional cosmetic surgery in the future, it is important that he chooses a surgeon he can trust to give him the exact results he is looking for.”

Kenny appears to have learned his lesson about undergoing over aggressive plastic surgery, but there are plenty of qualified plastic surgeons who may be able to restore his eyes to a more natural look, if he changes his mind again.

Matthew McConaughey’s movie The Lincoln Lawyer hits theaters today. At a recent premier event for the film, Matthew hit the red carpet with his mother, Kay McCabe, on his arm and Makemeheal.com couldn’t help but notice how good she looked—likely the result of plastic surgery.

68-year old former teacher Kay McCabe looked like she was having the time of her life as she hiked up her skirt and flashed some leg to the embarrassment of her sons, Matthew and Rooster. While her legs are definitely impressive for a woman her age, her smooth skin that showed very few signs of aging was even more impressive.

It looks like Kay has learned a lesson from her son, Matthew’s, time in Hollywood and gone in for some anti-aging plastic surgery (See Make Me Heal’s story on Matthew McConaughey’s hair transplant).

Although Kay has probably had several procedures, including a facelift and eyelid surgery, as well as Botox and facial fillers like Radiesse, she looks very natural and not “plasticized.”

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “ Matthew McConaughey’s mom appears to have had a facelift, Botox, facial fillers, and possibly a blepharoplasty. Overall, any work performed was not overdone, and she looks good.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Matthew McConaughey’s mom looks great and has a rejuvenated look to her face.  She appears to most likely have had a facelift, fillers to her cheeks and Botox to her forehead.  She does not appear overdone and has a refreshed look to her face.”

Fans of Matthew’s can catch The Lincoln Lawyer, also starring William H Macy, Marisa Tomei and Ryan Phillippe when it hits theaters today.

John Galliano was a name known only to fashion fans. But his recent public rants have made him a name known to households around the world. The recent video and photo evidence of John Galliano’s ill-advised tangents captured not only his shocking commentary, but may have also caught the former Dior designer’s plastic surgery.

50-year old John Galliano has a very definite look to maintain, whether you call it cutting-edge or evil genius. Part of his look is to be perpetually young, which is like the result of clever cosmetic surgery, rather than clever costuming.

The braid-wearing bad boy of fashion has likely had a facelift, browlift and eyelid surgery to keep his face as smooth and wrinkle free as the young models he sends down the runway. To keep up with his look, he likely also gets regular Botox injections as well as uses facial fillers like Restylane and Juvederm to maintain his pout.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “John Galliano may have had a facelift, browlift, and blepharoplasty. He also appears to have had facial fillers and Botox. John would not benefit from any additional procedures performed to his face.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “John Galliano appears to have had his eyes done (blepharoplasty) as well as Botox to his forehead area.  He may have used fillers to his lips and cheek areas as well.”

Whatever you think of the designer’s recent actions, it is pretty well agreed that he has a definite handle on appearances.

Sir Paul McCartney was recently spotted out and about with a head of hair significantly longer and fuller than he has in the past. Since his days as a Beatle, Sir Paul has battled thinning hair, but it looks like he may have made a recovery with some hair restoration plastic surgery.

68-year old legendary musician Sir Paul McCartney has been rumored to have gone under the knife before, to undergo an upper and lower eyelid surgery procedure known as a blepharoplasty (See Make Me Heal’s story on Paul McCartney’s plastic surgery). The singer has never admitted to having plastic surgery, but after appearing with significantly refreshed eyelids, it seems very likely.

    Paul McCartney, Plastic Surgery

Sir Paul’s luscious locks could be the result of a hair transplant, as it is certainly fuller than ever.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “It is possible Paul McCartney had hair transplant surgery at one point. Overall, his hair appears slightly fuller than it did in earlier photos.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “It appears to me that Paul McCartney’s new shorter hair style has given his hair a much fuller look.  He may have implemented the use of some hair growth treatments, but it seems most likely that the new shorter haircut is the real root cause of his fuller head of hair.”

Makemeheal.com looks forward to tracking Sir Paul’s next hairdo, for more definitive results of whether or not he has had a hair transplant.

Cyndi Lauper looked like the girl might have had a little too much fun in the sun, after cameras captured her with red, scaly skin as she exited an airport. The appearance of her skin was similar to that of patients after a chemical peel, a popular non-invasive plastic surgery.

After 57-year old Cyndi was photographed with red, blotchy peeling skin, her publicist reported that the singer had “a bad reaction to a spa treatment.” Cyndi’s spa treatment was most likely a chemical peel, part of the regimen that keeps her skin young and smooth (See Make Me Heal’s story on Cyndi Lauper’s plastic surgery), in addition to Botox, facial fillers and possibly more invasive procedures, including a lower blepharoplasty and mini-facelift.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “ Cyndi Lauper’s face is severely red and irritated looking.  This could have been caused by an aggressive chemical peel.  After a few days the redness should go away and she most likely will see an improvement in her skin tone and fewer fine lines and wrinkles.  It is very important to wear sun block and protect your face from sun expose at this stage of healing otherwise there could be darkening of the treated areas on the face.”

Cyndi looks like she has since mostly recovered from her chemical peel, as she was again filmed at an airport, sporting a dark veil and large sunglasses while she gave an impromptu rendition of her hit song Girls Just Wanna Have Fun over the loudspeaker system at Jorge Newbery Airport in Buenos Aires.

Cyndi’s spunky attitude is likely just as responsible for her youthful appearance as her plastic surgery and Makemeheal.com looks forward to seeing what the 80s pop icon does next.

Legendary singer Elton John and his husband David Furnish recently introduced the world to their new son, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, born via surrogate on Christmas Day. Amidst the happy news, many celebrity watchers are wondering if Sir Elton celebrated with some plastic surgery?

62-year-old Sir Elton John has had a long career filled with sex, drugs and rock n’ roll. But his past history and the late nights of being a new father don’t appear to be taking a toll on the pop star’s appearance, likely because of some well-done plastic surgery ahead of time.

To stay young and lively looking, it seems that Sir Elton may have stopped under the knife for a possible facelift, necklift and maybe an upper and lower eyelid surgery. He and David may also go in for regular Botox and facial filler injections as well, using fillers like Restylane and Juvederm to maintain smooth skin.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Elton John may have had Botox, facial fillers, a necklift, and possibly a facelift at one point. Overall, any work performed was conservatively and he looks good.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Elton John has a very smooth and wrinkle free forehead most likely from Botox treatments.  Also, it appears that he may have done his upper and lower eyelids (Blepharoplsty) giving him a very rejuvenated look to his eyes and face.”

Makemeheal.com wishes the new family the best.

Linda Thompson isn’t known household name, despite being a former flame of Elvis Presley and the first wife of Olympian Bruce Jenner. And her face isn’t recognizable either, thanks to copious amounts of plastic surgery over the years.

60-year old Linda Thompson is a former beauty pageant queen turned actress, who was once romantically attached to legendary singer Elvis Presley. She was eventually married to Bruce Jenner and her son is reality star Brody Jenner.  It seems that Linda and Bruce had the same plastic surgeon as they are both overdone and unnatural looking from their former glory days (See Make Me Heal’s story on Bruce Jenner’s plastic surgery).

Famous Plastic put together a pictorial of Linda through the years, which reveal that the former beauty queen has morphed into being nearly unrecognizable. Linda has likely undergone numerous facial plastic surgeries including an aggressive facelift Ventolin price treatment with Viagra , a browlift, blepharoplasty as well as a nose job. Like many women living on the fringes of fame and Hollywood, she likely also gets regular injections of Botox Premarin Fast shipping as well as fillers like Restylane and Juvederm to plump up her lips and make them appear larger than life.

In addition, Linda has likely also had a breast augmentation, with implants from makers Mentor or Natrelle.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Linda Thompson appears to have had multiple facial cosmetic surgeries including a Facelift, Browlift, Eyelid Lift, Cheek augmentation, Nose Job or Rhinoplasty as well as non-surgical treatments such as Botox to her forehead and dermal fillers to keep her lips full and plump looking.”

Makemeheal.com can’t help but think that young Brody is destined to go under the knife, with both parents being fans of plastic surgery.

U2 lead singer and activist Bono is known for hiding his eyes behind shades. But some suspect that Bono may be hiding more than just his eyes, he may also be hiding plastic surgery.

50-year old Irish singer of the popular band U2has drawn as much attention for his philanthropy as he has for his music. The Western face of the Global Fund may also have had plastic surgery; although his signature colored glasses make it difficult to tell for certain.

Bono has probably undergone a lower eyelid surgery to get rid of some sags and bags, and may also use a little Botox and dermal fillers like Restylane and Juvederm as well.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “It is difficult to really tell if someone had lower eyelid plastic surgery (Blepharoplasty) with glasses on, but I am suspecting that Bono did have the skin under his eyes corrected with cosmetic surgery.”

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Bono does not appear to have had any surgical procedures performed to his face, and his look is very natural. He may have had Botox and facial fillers at one point but that is all.”

This isn’t the first time Makemeheal.com has suspected Bono of plastic surgery. Back in 2007, the singer removed his colored glasses, revealing a possible blepharoplasty (See Make Me Heal’s story on Bono’s lower eyelid surgery).

With or without plastic surgery, Makemeheal.com commends Bono’s humanitarianism and wishes him the best of luck with his efforts to draw attention to the third world’s plights.

Sunday’s Oscar celebrations didn’t bring many surprises when it came to who won what. Still, the actresses and actors who turned out did manage to make some interesting style choices and it may surprise you to learn who has had what plastic surgery.

The big night was co-hosted by 28-year old Anne Hathaway and 32-year old James Franco (who was a Best Actor nominee for 127 Hours). Neither host looks to have gone under the knife, nor do they really need to, although that may change in the future.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “James Franco does not appear to have had any surgical procedures performed to his face. He has a young and natural appearance, and would not benefit from any surgical or non-surgical procedures prior to his red carpet appearance.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Anne Hathaway is known for her flawless looking skin.  She probably maintains her smooth skin with Botox and chemical peels.  Her lips are very full and may maintain that fullness with dermal fillers injections such as Restylane or Juvederm.  I don’t think she needs else before the big night.  She looks beautiful.”

Sarasota , Florida Plastic Surgeon  J. David Holcomb, MD has never treated Anne Hathaway as a patient, but offered his opinion to Make Me Heal, ” Agree that no signs of plastic surgery.  She might benefit from a small amount of Botox to the lower eyelid are to soft the so called ‘jelly roll.’”

The big winner for the night was The King’s Speech, as predicted. The Best Picture winner starred 50-year old Best Actor winner Colin Firth, who appears to be all natural, and didn’t get the Botox and Sculptra injections Makemeheal.com had suggested for the big night (See Make Me Heal’s story on Colin Firth’s plastic surgery).

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Colin Firth does not appear to have had any work performed to his face.  He may benefit from Botox and facial filers, but any work he chooses to have performed is a personal decision.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Colin Firth has very full cheeks which may be from dermal fillers injections such as Sculptra.  I would not enhance his cheeks any more as they have become a very prominent feature on his face, but he could benefit from some Botox to his upper face.”

94-year old Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas made a special surprise appearance at the awards show, hamming it up before eventually presenting Melissa Leo with her Best Supporting Actress award. The notorious ladies’ man famously suffered a stroke in the past, and may have had had at least one facelift to retain his handsome good looks.

Best Supporting Actress winner for The Fighter 50-year old Melisso Leo made Oscar history, not only by campaigning for her tiny gold man with her own funds, but also by dropping the first F-bomb in the history of the Academy Awards. That said, Melissa may have decided to go ahead and get a few injectables and some Botox as she looked more smooth-skinned and radiant than usual on the red carpet (See Make Me Heal’s story on Melissa Leo’s plastic surgery). For a more permanent result, Melissa could also consider a facelift, browlift and blepharoplasty for future awards shows.

    Melissa Leo, Plastic Surgery

Sarasota , Florida Plastic Surgeon  J. David Holcomb, MD has never treated Melissa Leo as a patient, but tells Makemeheal.com, “Does not appear to have had anything major done at this point and could certainly benefit from facial rejuvenation.  The photo provided is not optimum for treatment planning – really need a direct front photo with eyes forward and chin in appropriate position in which the patient is not smiling.  She probably would benefit at least an upper eyelid lift but the lower eyelid area might do very well with a laser procedure and fat grafting. She would also benefit from adding volume to the temples.  I would need to see different photos before commenting on the mid and lower face further.  Her neck really looks good for her age…”

In the past, Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California has told Makemeheal.com, ” “It looks as if Melissa Leo has had nothing done. But she could benefit from having full face surgery including a browlift, upper and lower eyelid lifts and a facelift.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Melissa Leo has a very natural look.  She may use a little Botox to her forehead and fillers to her lips.  To freshen up her face she may want to tighten up the skin around her eyes and treat the lines between her eyes known as the glabellar, with Botox and dermal filler such as Restylane or Juvederm to smooth it out.”

29-year old Oscar presenter Jennifer Hudson managed to put previous rumors of a breast augmentation to rest. The Oscar winning singer recently lost 80 pounds on a popular weight loss program and the low cut bustline on her halter dress revealed that her breasts have downsized as well, and become much smaller and looser, a sign of natural breasts. In the past Jennifer has said that she won’t have plastic surgery, but with her weight loss, she may want to consider a breast lift and possible augmentation, to put things back where they belong (read full article about Jennifer Hudson’s Breast Implants rumor).

Best Supporting Actor went to 37-year old Christian Bale for The Fighter. The notoriously dedicated actor sported a bushy beard for the black-tie event, which could be covering up some recent plastic surgery, but is more likely in preparation of his next role. The hot-tempered actor’s unusual nose could be the result of a past nose job, or an indication that he should have a rhinoplasty in the future (See Make Me Heal’s story on Christian Bale’s plastic surgery).

Sarasota, Florida Plastic Surgeon J. David Holcomb, MD has never treated Christian Bale as a patient but told Makemeheal.com, “As we age the skin over the nose sometimes thins a bit such that the underlying cartilage structures become increasingly prominent.  So while he may not be inclined now rhinoplasty might be a consideration in the future…”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Christian Bale may have had a nose job or Rhinoplasty cosmetic surgery.  The tip of his nose has a very defined point.  He also appears to treat his forehead with Botox giving him a very smooth look to his face.”

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Christian Bale does not appear to have had any surgical procedures performed to his face. He has a natural look, and would not benefit from any surgical or non-surgical procedures.”

Hugely pregnant Best Actress winner 29-year old Natalie Portman won’t be having any plastic surgery in the next several months, thanks to her condition, but she may have a rhinoplasty in the past. Natalie was also sporting more cleavage than usual, also a result of her new body shape (See Make Me Heal’s story on Natalie Portman’s plastic surgery).

Sarasota, Florida Plastic Surgeon  J. David Holcomb, MD has never treated any Natalie Portman, but tells Makemeheal.com, “Looks great now.  Inevitably in the future she may first consider quick fixes such as Botox or filler injections or even fat grafting.  If she does develop troublesome wrinkles skin rejuvenation with a laser may not be out of the question.  She has nice facial features and bone structure and is relatively thin so she will likely not need to consider facelift procedures any time soon.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Natalie Portman does appear to have had a nose job.  The tip of her nose appears lifted and more defined. She is young and pregnant and should not have any cosmetic procedures at this time.”

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Natalie Portman does not appear to have had any work performed to her face. She still has a very young look, and would not benefit from facial plastic surgery at this point in her life.”

Toy Story 3 won Best Animated, with the vocal talents of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. 54-year old Tom Hanks is known for occasionally using hairpieces to hide his receding hairline, and he could use a more permanent hair restoration procedure as well as other procedures including Botox, fillers, a chemical peel and an upper eyelid lift to take care of his hooded eyes.  His partner in crime, 57-year old Tim Allen may have already undergone a blepharoplasty, but he could use a little Botox to help lighten his look.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Tom Hanks appears to have had some hair restoration, but other than that does not appear to have had any cosmetic work done.  He would benefit from some Botox and dermal fillers to smooth out his skin as well as a chemical peel.  Eventually he may consider an upper eyelid lift, or Blepharoplsty, as the skin is beginning to “hood” or cover his eyelids and may start to interfere with his vision.”

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “It is possible Tom Hanks had hair transplant surgery at one point, but it is difficult to confirm without having knowledge of his hair loss history. In addition, he may have had facial fillers and Botox. Any work performed was not overdone, and he still looks good.”

Dr. Salzhauer says, “ Tim Allen may have done his upper eyelids (Blepharoplasy) in the past but may want to tighten the skin under his eyes to get rid of that puffy loose skin. He would benefit from Botox injections to his forehead an around the eyes giving him a more smooth and youthful look to his face.”

Dr. Nassif says, “It is possible Tom Hanks had hair transplant surgery at one point, but it is difficult to confirm without having knowledge of his hair loss history. In addition, he may have had facial fillers and Botox. Any work performed was not overdone, and he still looks good.”

“Tim Allen does not appear to have had any surgical procedures performed to his face. He may have had facial filers and Botox at one point, but that is all.”

Sandra Bullock’s world fell apart shortly after she won The Best Actress Oscar in 2010, for The Blind Side. This year, Sandra appeared fully recovered and completely glamourous. She may have prepped for the awards show by getting a little Botox, and covering up any residual bruising with heavy makeup(See Make Me Heal’s story on Sandra Bullock’s Botox).

Although Oscar night held no surprises, the glitz and glam of Hollywood’s most celebrated stars were still a sight to behold, whether or not they had plastic surgery

“Glamorous Grandma” Jane Fonda showed off her recent plastic surgery on the cover of Good Housekeeping magazine, posing without Photoshop.

73-year old Jane Fonda has lone been a beauty icon, since her Barbarella days and into the fitness craze of the 1980s. Jane Fonda swore off plastic surgery for a while, before recently admitting to undergoing a couple of new procedures, likely a blepharoplasty and necklift (See Make Me Heal’s story on Jane Fonda’s plastic surgery).

In the Good Housekeeping interview, Jane reveals, “I didn’t think that I would want to have anything done but it actually got to the point where I would startle myself when I saw my reflection in the mirror.”

I felt so great after a good night’s sleep, and suddenly I’d look at a reflection of myself and didn’t look like I felt.

While Jane has been open about her latest bout of plastic surgery, Makemeheal.com suspects the former fitness queen has also had her share of work in the past, including a nose job as well as a facelift and probably also gets Botox injections as well as facial fillers like Restylane and Juvederm.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Jane Fonda does appear to have had multiple facial cosmetic surgeries such as a facelift, brow lift, Rhinoplasty or Nose Job, and Botox to her forehead.  The results look natural and not over done.”

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “In addition to a blepharoplasty and necklift, Jane Fonda may have had Botox, and facial fillers.  There is also a possibility she had a facelift performed. Overall, she looks great and would not benefit from any additional procedures at this time.”

The contenders for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar haven’t had plastic surgery, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t benefit from a few nips and tucks

    Christian Bale (The Fighter)

37-year old Christian Bale has gained quite a reputation for getting very into the roles he plays, whether he’s starring in a comic-book based epic or a drama and he’s done it all without plastic surgery. However, he may want to consider a nose job in the future, although it is possible that he has already had one.

    John Hawkes (Winter’s Bone)

52-year old John Hawkes isn’t a household name, but his outstanding performances has made him a favorite of film critics and has earned him a Supporting Actor nomination for his role in Winter’s Bone. John looks remarkably well preserved for his age, but if he wanted to look even better, he could consider having an eyelid lift as well as some fillers like Juvederm or Restylane injected into the parentheses around his mouth.

Dr. Nassif says, “John Hawkes does not appear to have had any procedures performed to his face.  There is a possibility he had Botox at one point, but that is all. His look is natural, and any future work he chooses to have performed is a personal decision.”

Dr. Salzhauer says, “It does not appear that John Hawkes has had any cosmetic enhancements to his appearance.  He may consider tightening up the skin around his eyes and some dermal fillers to the nasolabial folds, or laugh lines, to freshen up his look.”

    Jeremy Renner (The Town)

40-year old Jeremy Renner is gearing up for his second Oscar nomination for his work in The Town. While Jeremy has become a film favorite, it appears his handsome looks are all natural and not the result of plastic surgery over the years. If Jeremy was interested in improving his appearance for the red carpet, he could use a little Juvederm or Restylane to augment his upper lip, which is a little thin.

Dr. Nassif says, “Jeremy Renner does not appear to have had any work performed to his face, and would not benefit from any procedures at this time.”

Dr. Salzhauer says, “It does not appear that Jeremy Renner has done any cosmetic enhancements to his face.  His lips are very thin and he may want to add a tiny bit of dermal filler to them, especially his upper lip.

Mark Ruffalo (The Kids are All Right)

43-year old Mark Ruffalo is up for his first Oscar nomination thanks to his role as a sperm donor in The Kids are All Right. The rom-com favorite may be using a hit of Botox and fillers like Restylane and Juvederm to stay youthful, but he may want to consider using just a touch more around the eyes or having some eyelid surgery to help lift the lids and open up his peepers.

Dr. Nassif says, ” Mark Ruffalo may have had Botox and facial fillers. It is not evident he had any additional work performed to his face.”

Dr. Salzhauer says, “It does not appear that Mark Ruffalo has done any cosmetic enhancements to his face.  He may want to tighten up the skin around his eyes to give him a refreshed and more youthful look, or a bit of Botox can lift his eyebrows and give him some improvement.”

    Geoffrey Rush (The King’s Speech)

59-year old Geoffrey Rush has already won an Oscar for his role in Shine, but the multi-nominated actor has again been chosen by the Academy for his excellent work in The King’s Speech. Geoffrey Rush looks a little older than some of his peers and some judicious plastic surgery could help him freshen up and look a little younger. A facelift and necklift could take care of the deeper wrinkles around his face, while eyelid surgery could eliminate his sagging eyelids. By finishing up with Botox and fillers like Sculptra or Radiesse, he could look considerably younger. Although facelift and necklift take a while to heal, there is still time for Geoffrey to get at least an eyelid lift and fillers before the big night.

Dr. Nassif says, “Geoffrey Rush does not appear to have had any plastic surgery performed to his face. He may benefit from a facelft, a necklift, Botox, facial fillers, and a blepharoplasty. These procedures may enhance his look, and give him a fresher and more youthful appearance.”

Dr. Salzhauer says, “It does not appear that Geoffrey Rush has done any cosmetic enhancements to his face.  He may want to tighten up the skin around his eyes to give him a refreshed and more youthful look if he had at least a week to heal.  Botox to his upper face and dermal fillers to fill in some of the lines could make a significant improvement to smooth out his face and make him look years younger.”

Makemeheal.com looks forward to seeing how the nominees for Best Supporting Actor turn out at the upcoming Oscar ceremony.

And the 2011 plastic surgery Best Male Actor Oscar nominees are…

    Javier Bardem (Biutiful)

41-year old Javier Bardem used to have a reputation as nothing more than a pretty face, but his strong acting skills and Oscar win has changed that. Now Javier’s rugged good looks have him on the line for another Oscar, and while he may have had some Botox or fillers to smooth out his skin, what her really could use is an upper eyelid lift to open up his face.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Javier Bardem does not appear to have had any work performed to his face. There is a possibility of Botox and facial fillers but that is all. Overall he has a natural look, and it is up to him if he chooses to have any procedures performed.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “I do not believe that Javier Bardem has done any cosmetic enhancements.  He has a natural rugged look.  He would benefit from an upper eyelid lift or Blepharoplasty, and some Botox to lift his eyebrows and smooth out his forehead.”

    Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network)

27-year old Jesse Eisenberg is best known for being the sweet dork in comedies before shocking the world with his performance in The Social Network. The slightly goofy-looking actor comes by his looks naturally, but if he ever wanted to try to be a more traditional-looking leading man, he might benefit from a nose job and to balance out his prominent chin.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Jesse Eisenberg does not appear to have had any work performed to his face.  He is still young and has a natural look, and would not benefit from any procedures at this time.”

Dr. Salzhauer says, “Jesse Eisenberg does not appear to have had any cosmetic surgery.  He has an exceptional chin and jaw structure.  I would recommend that in the future he has a Nose Job, or Rhinoplasty, to bring more balance and proportion to his face.  With a defined and proportionate nose to that strong chin and jaw, his look will be incredible.”

    Colin Firth (The King’s Speech)

50-year old Colin Firth has been a favorite actor in England, but his international profile has blossomed in recent years, thanks to roles in rom-coms. His nomination for Best Leading Actor last year has cemented his talents and he has become a Hollywood staple.  Colin appears to be natural, although his prominent cheeks could be benefiting from facial fillers like Sculptra. Before the big event, Colin may want to try some Botox injections to smooth out his brow and the space between his brows.

Dr.

Dr. Salzhauer says, ” Colin Firth has very full cheeks which may be from dermal fillers injections such as Sculptra.  I would not enhance his cheeks any more as they have become a very prominent feature on his face, but he could benefit from some Botox to his upper face.”

    James Franco (127 Hours)

32-year old James Franco may be one of the most successful actors his age, easily switching between intense dramas and slapstick comedies, with seemingly little effort. This year, James is not only a contender for the Best Actor Oscar, but also co-hosting the awards show, so he may want to get a little Botox for his dual role.

Dr.

Dr. Salzhauer says, ” Maybe a little Botox to his forehead, but outside of that I do not think James Franco has had any cosmetic work done.  He could use some Botox to treat those crow’s feet, which are the wrinkles on the lateral eyes which is most apparent when you smile or squint.”

    Jeff Bridges (True Grit)

61-year old Jeff Bridges has had a busy year since winning last year’s Best Male Actor Oscar. Although he’s starred in more than one movie, it doesn’t look like he’s taken time to have a little plastic surgery, as Makemeheal.com suggested (See Make Me Heal’s story on  Jeff Bridges’ plastic surgery). If Jeff wanted to take a break from the big screen and take time for himself, he could benefit from a browlift and eyelid surgery as well as a possible facelift and necklift in addition to a round of Botox and facial fillers to make him look a little more like he did in the original Tron. With or without fixing his sagging eyelids, Jeff is doing a great job.

Sarasota , Florida Plastic Surgeon  J. David Holcomb, MD has never treated Jeff Bridges as a patient but did tell Make Me Heal, “Agree that likely has not had plastic surgery.  Could benefit from a brow lift and eyelid surgery as well as Botox and possibly a neck lift.”

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Jeff Bridges does not appear to have had any plastic surgery performed to his face at this time. He may benefit from a blepharoplasty, facelift, necklift, Botox, and facial fillers. Any work Jeff chooses to have performed in the future is a personal decision.”

Dr. Salzhauer says, “Jeff Bridges’ natural rugged look seemed perfect for his character in the movie True Grit.  He was true to his character in his raw and untreated appearance.  Although he could certainly use some Botox and fillers to smooth out some of those lines, I don’t think it fits his persona.”

Makemeheal.com looks forward to seeing how all the Best Actor nominees turn out on the red carpet.

I’m pretty much broke. Yeah, it’s kind of because of the economy, and it’s kind of because I’m a writer and we’re traditionally some of the brokest people in the world. I recently had someone tell me that I could make more money panhandling. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m not ruling it out either. At the moment, I prefer writing about plastic surgery to ranting on a corner about the apocalypse. So I’m doing okay. But whenever I whine to my older friends about the sad state of my financial affairs, I almost always get some form of the retort, “At least you’re young.”

Why does being young matter? I’m still poor. Barely making rent doesn’t get you any less evicted when you’re young. Collecting free ketchup packets from fast food places isn’t any less sad when you’re young. In fact, it might be even sadder… but apparently, the one thing that seems to be different when you’re young is your ability to get hired. Getting a job, it seems, is a lot easier when you have a youthful, energetic appearance – and that’s why a number of ‘older’ job seekers are getting a leg up from plastic surgery or other non-surgical procedures like BOTOX.

A Nice Blazer Just Isn’t Cutting It Anymore

These days, the mantra ‘Dress for success’ doesn’t quite cover all the bases. Sure, having a classy wardrobe is important for interviewability, but looking professional has started to extend beyond wearing a well-tailored suit. It’s not like this is an entirely new concept. People in the entertainment industry have been getting a little nip/tuck to help their careers for ages (although you’d never know by looking at them). And decades ago, millions of Americans decided to ‘hire’ Kennedy as President instead of Nixon at least partially because of Nixon’s old, tired appearance on the televised debates. Maybe if Nixon had gotten a brow lift, we could have gotten Watergate out of the way sooner.

Point is, nobody has ever wanted to employ an emaciated, exhausted, sweaty, or jowly dude (or chick) to represent their company. But in an economy where jobs are becoming scarcer and scarcer, appearance has started to matter even more. The unemployed are looking for any edge they can get in a competitive job market, and sometimes that edge is having an energetic, positive appearance.

Dr. Daniel Yamini, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Los Angeles, suggests that, “These days you can never be too young or refreshed looking for a job. A majority of my patients have been affected in some way by the recent economy. Many are looking for, or in between, jobs and it’s very competitive. There is a huge…emphasis these days, particularly for women, in the employment market to look your best.” We try to tell ourselves that looks aren’t everything, and certainly a little plastic surgery won’t help you get that rocket scientist job you’ve always wanted if you didn’t graduate high school. But the reality is that people can’t help but judge each other by appearance. As Dr. Richard Fleming, a specialist in hair replacement and facial cosmetic surgery at the Beverly Hills Institute, asks, “Who wants to hire a person who looks tired or hungover?” The answer: pretty much no one. The fact that you actually get nine hours of sleep a night and have been a teetotaler since the 80s doesn’t matter at all. Dr. Fleming points out that the fatigued appearance that can come with age “stimulates certain parameters in our mindset” so we can’t help but associate someone’s drooping eyelids with the assumption that they lack energy and drive.

How Can I Look Young Again?

So there’s no fountain of youth. What can you do to improve your physical appearance, and consequently your chances at getting hired? Dr. Yamini says, “My patients want to look less tired, more refreshed, energized, and look like they have been taking care of their bodies. But above all they want to look natural.  This is a fine balance to rejuvenate someone without changing their appearance or making them look ‘done’ or too desperately trying to look younger than they are.” That’s right, the Joan Rivers look is not what employers want unless they want to hire Joan Rivers. So before you go for an extreme facelift, consider your options.

What’s best for you? Well, it depends on what you need to feel good about your appearance. Dr. Fleming suggests that feeling like you look great actually makes you perform better in interviews and on the job. Confidence is an important part of seeming like an eligible candidate for any position, and liking what we see in the mirror inspires confidence. And if you’re getting older, that confidence might be waning. But, fortunately, plastic surgery has improved and there are less drastic, more natural options available.  As Dr. Fleming says, “It depends on what [you] need. [For] some people maybe it’s something simple – BOTOX. Others, something more invasive, like eyelid surgery. Eyes are the first to age, and that results in the tired look.” Dr. Yamini observes that, “The biggest spike in services [at my practice] has been in BOTOX and other non-surgical injectables that can erase the signs of stress, exhaustion, lack of sleep, etc.  When done properly, BOTOX can make you look less tired and stressed, yet still natural.  Fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane can smooth out features that make you look older, tired, or sad and make you appear younger, refreshed, and softer.”

Change Your Face, Get a Job?

Well, not necessarily. There just aren’t that many jobs out there right now, and getting your eyes done won’t change that fact. I mean, like I said, I’m broke and my eyelids are still pretty perky. So don’t rush into anything that costs a lot of money because you think it’s an automatic solution for unemployment. But do try to look your best and have confidence in your appearance. People will notice, and if you stand out you’ve got better chances.

And if you’re deciding between a career as a writer or a career as a plastic surgeon, you might want to go with the latter. Just saying.

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi says that yoga, not plastic surgery, is responsible for his still good-looking appearance.

In an interview with ContactMusic.com, 48-year old Jon Bon Jovi said: “For an old man who has no plastic surgery, still has all his own hair and wears a 30-inch waist, I’m doing okay.”

Bon Jovi has attributed his lean appearance to playing sports and practicing yoga, which have clearly paid off. His famous song, “Living on a Prayer,” has become a favorite chant amongst yogis.

While Bon Jovi has maintained the rugged good looks of his youth, but if he did want to have some subtle plastic surgery, an upper blepharoplasty could help open up his eyes, while a little Botox in the space between his brows and some fillers in his cheeks, like Restylane or Juvederm, could help give a less worried and more mellow appearance.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “I believe Jon Bon Jovi in that he has not had cosmetic surgery.  He has a very natural, rugged look to him.  To rejuvenate his look I would recommend an upper Blepharoplsty or eyelid lift.  Since the eyes are the main focus on the face, giving them a younger look usually gives the entire face a younger look.”

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Jon Bon Jovi does not appear to have had any surgery performed to his face. Overall his look is natural.  There is a possibility of Botox and facial fillers, but that is about all.”

Makemeheal.com thinks that Jon Bon Jovi looks great, whether or not he decides to explore plastic surgery.

Blythe Danner has an impressive resume, including giving birth to Hollywood hottie Gywneth Paltrow. Recently she has admitted that some of her success is due to Botox, which keeps her and many other actress camera ready.

67-year old Blythe Danner revealed her secret to great skin at a New York City premiere of her new film Little Fockers.

“Well, I think we’ve all fooled around with [Botox],” Blythe revealed to Us Magazine. “I think, you know, we’ve got so much at our fingertips now, why not take advantage of it? There are extraordinary things that can help us now.”

While Blythe admitted to using the popular injectable, she isn’t a fan of overdone plastic surgery.

“I mean I can’t stand the big, puffy lips,” she said. “That stuff is just crazy! And the cheekbones that come out to here! I feel like, “Why do they think they have to do that?”

Luckily, whatever plastic surgery she has done, has been very natural-looking and may include a facelift or necklift as well as eyelid surgery, in addition to Botox injections and dermal fillers like Restylane and Juvederm.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Blythe Danner may have had a facelift and necklift, and there is a possibility she had blepharoplasty at one point in her life.  She also appears to have had Botox and facial fillers.  Overall, any work was performed conservatively and she does not appear overdone.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “I think Blythe Danner looks fantastic. Not overdone and very natural. I agree with her attitude towards cosmetic surgery and treatments. There IS so much out there now that can help you look and feel your best. Why not take advantage of it. If you have a headache, you would take a pain reliever to feel better, right?! All in moderation is important as well. I think Heidi will attest to that.”

You can check out Blythe Danner’s Botox for yourself in the third edition of the popular Focker brand of humor, Little Fockers, currently in theaters.

Early in the week, we listed the first five celebrities with great plastic surgery results in 2010 (see Best Celebrity Plastic Surgery of 2010 – Part 1).  Here’s the second round of celebrities who Makemeheal.com found to have had excellent plastic surgery results this past year.

Jocelyn Wildenstein: The Undoing of The Feline Look

If the rumors are true, then kudos to 70-year old Jocelyn Wildenstein for beginning to undo her catlike look this past year. Jocelyn usually lands on worst lists of plastic surgery, but undoing a plastic surgery mistake gives Jocelyn a spot on our best list. Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Jocelyn Wildenstein has undergone multiple cosmetic surgeries giving her (in the past) a very unnatural appearance. She has certainly improved her current appearance with some corrective cosmetic procedures. She has reduced the size of her chin either by taking out an oversized chin implant or by cutting out the fillers that were used to augment her chin initially.  Her eyes are more natural looking most likely by releasing the skin that was pulling them into their previous cat-like shape.  Her brow is also more relaxed and natural by releasing the muscles that had been pulling them so tightly.  Her nose has been reshaped and has really contributed to her new soft look.  Her lips have been reduced by removing whatever had been previously injected into them.  She is definitely on her way to a more beautiful and natural look.” (See Make Me Heal’s story on Jocelyn Wildenstein’s plastic surgery).

    Tamara Mellon: Plastic Surgery makeover

42-year old president and co-founder of designer shoe brand, Jimmy Choo, Tamara Mellon is not only fashionable when it comes to footwear, she is also a leader in plastic surgery. Tamara is rumored to have had everything from nose jobs to tummy tucks, but the results are very natural, especially her use of Botox and fat grafting. Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and a rhinoplasty specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Tamara Mellon may have had fillers in her face and some Botox in her forehead. Overall, her appearance is natural and she does not look overdone.” (See Make Me Heal’s story on Tamara Mellon’s plastic surgery).

    Chaz Bono: Gender Reassignment Surgery

41-year old Chaz Bono is the son of pop legends Sonny Bono and Cher. Thanks to gender reassignment surgery, Chaz, born Chastity has finally become the man he always knew himself to be. Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Officially gender reassignment surgery entails changing the genitalia to that of the opposite sex.  This is a reconstructive procedure often performed by reconstructive Urologist and Cosmetic Surgeon.  Cosmetically speaking, the plastic surgery procedures that usually accompany a female to male sex reassignment are breast reduction, chin and jaw enhancements and body contouring with liposuction.” (See Make Me Heal’s story on Chaz Bono’s plastic surgery).

Matthew McConaughey: Hair Restoration, Blepharoplasty, Eyelid surgery

40-year old Matthew McConaughey underwent some form of hair restoration a few years back and more recently looks to have undergone blepharoplasty, eyelid surgery that helps enhance his eyes, making him appear refreshed and more awkake. Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Matthew McConaughey’s eyes do have a rejuvenated look to them. You can see more of his upper eyelids and his lower eyelids are much smoother. A upper and Lower Blepharoplasty is the procedure that would cause these results.” (See Make Me Heal’s story on Matthew McConaughey’s plastic surgery).

    Keira Knightley: Nose Job

25-year old Keira Knightley has an enviable film career, but it’s her good looks that often draw the most attention. In addition to speculation of a lip augmentation to achieve her perfect pout, many suspect that the Pirates of the Caribbean star has also undergone a rhinoplasty, giving her a small nose that looks great on the big screen. Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and a rhinoplasty specialist in Beverly Hills, California, says, “Keira Knightly appears to have had rhinoplasty, as current photos show her nose to appear a bit smaller than it did in earlier photos.  Her tip looks smaller, and her nasal bones look like they were brought in resulting in a narrower bridge.  Overall, Keira looks very natural, and her nose does not appear overdone at all.” (See Make Me Heal’s story on Keira Knightley’s plastic surgery).

Although nipping, cutting, and implanting is supposed to make you look better, some celebrities take it a bit too far.  It’s time once again to round up Makemeheal.com‘s annual list of the worst and most awful celebrity plastic surgery of the past year. As there are far more surgically enhanced misfortunes than the space of the article allots, we’re breaking up the list into two parts, so stay tuned for Worst Celebrity Plastic Surgery – Part 2 in a couple of days.  Also, be sure to check out our story on the Best Celebrity Plastic Surgery of 2010.

    Heidi Montag – Everything!

24-year old Heidi Montag underwent an astonishing 10 procedures in one day—and hasn’t stopped talking about it since. They include: nose job revision, chin reduction, mini brow lift, botox in forehead and frown area, fat injections in cheeks, nasolabial folds and lips, neck liposuction, ears pinned back, liposuction on waist, hips and inner and outer thighs, buttock augmentation and breast augmentation revision. Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn says, “Too much has been said about her already, so we’ll keep it brief: too much, too young.” (See Make Me Heal’s story on Heidi Montag’s plastic surgery)
Octomom Nadya Suleman – Tummy Tuck

34-year old Nadya Suleman, better known as Octomom, has consistently denied plastic surgery, although she has the appearance of Angelina Jolie and the stomach of a woman with a tummy tuck. Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn says, “Though she has denied it, her bellybutton looks like her surgeon either created it herself or inset it as a vertical slit – in my opinion, this is a telltale sign of a tummy tuck!” (See Make Me Heal’s story on Octomom’s plastic surgery)
Lindsay Lohan – Lip Fillers Galore

24-year old Lindsay Lohan has gotten in trouble with the law and seems to soothe away her problems with excessive lip augmentation. Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn says, “Too much filler was used in her upper lip, causing it to be larger than her lower lip and violating the natural 1:1.5 ratio (the lower lip should be 1.5 times the width of the upper lip).” (See Make Me Heal’s story on Lindsay Lohan’s lip augmentation).

Sheyla Hershey — Breast Implants to The Max

30-year old Sheyla Hershey has goals: to have the biggest breast implants in the world. But when the supersized funbags gave her an infection that threatened her life, Sheyla decided to have them removed—for a while. On his blog, OcBody plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia reports “Really big comes with really big risk with breast implants.” (See Make Me Heal’s story on Sheyla Hershey’s Breast Implants).

Tom Cruise — Liposuction Gone Uneven

Apparently no one told Tom Cruise that botched liposuction is nothing to be proud of. Shirtless photos of the 48-year old actor on the set of MI-4 reveal a flat stomach, but with the ripples and lumps of liposuction. Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Tom Cruise is flaunting a very unevenly toned abdomen.  It is very possible that he has had some liposuction to his abdomen in the past that has left him with this look.” (See Make Me Heal’s story on Tom Cruise’s plastic surgery)

    Carrie Fisher — Facelift, Fillers

54-year old Carrie Fisher is looking less like Princess Leia and more like a characterization of the iconic screen character, thanks to too much plastic surgery, including a facelift and necklift as well as an over zealous eyelift. Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “It does look like Carrie Fisher has had a face, neck and eyelid lift.  Her neck and jaw line appear tighter and smoother.  Her eye lids are more obvious and appear slightly over done.” (See Make Me Heal’s story on Carrie Fisher’s plastic surgery).

Cher is touring the world, promoting her new film Burlesque. At a London premiere of the film, Cher revealed more than just her amazing body; she also revealed a piece of surgical tape behind her ear.

64-year old Cher showed up at a premier with flaming orange wig and sexy lace dress. She also inadvertently gave camera lenses a look at a piece of surgical tape.

Cher is a known fan of plastic surgery, openly admitting to undergoing plastic surgery, which most likely includes nose job, breast augmentation, fat grafts or fillers like Sculptra and Radiesse, a facelift or two as well as eyelid surgery and possibly a tummy tuck and liposuction.

Although Cher has had a facelift or two in her time, celebrities often use the surgical tape as a temporary fix for pulling back the sands of time. It could be that Cher is planning another plastic surgery procedure in the future, and that the surgical tape is an in-between fix for the globetrotter.

Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Richard Fleming commented that picture showing tape on Cher’s face certainly could be covering a small wound.  Dr. Fleming feels that it is probably a beauty technique that has been used for over 70 years, where discretely placed tape actually enhances the neck and jawline.  This would certainly be in keeping with a very busy celebrity who does not have time in their schedule to have plastic surgery.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Cher definitely likes the “tight” look to her skin.  She could opt for another facelift, but for 64 she is looking fabulous and I don’t think it’s necessary at this time. Maybe wait a few more years and keep some of that surgical tape handy.”

Cher’s beauty malfunction not withstanding, she looks great for her age and audiences seem to be enthralled with her appearance in Burlesque.

    By Lois W. Stern, Editor-at-Large, Makemeheal.com

It seems to me that selecting a plastic surgery procedure today is somewhat like shopping for a box of Wheat Thins. Fifteen years ago I could walk down a supermarket aisle, reach for a box of my favorite crackers, toss it in my shopping cart and be off in two minutes flat. Today all that has changed. While shopping for Wheat Thins, I now am confronted by twenty-two different varieties. Do I reach for the low sodium, parmesan basil, French onion, or one of the nineteen other varieties? I study the box side panels to compare grams of sodium, saturated fat and calories. I evaluate each variety based on nutrition value but also personal preference. Ultimately I’m happy Nabisco gives me some interesting new flavor options, but I wonder if they aren’t making too big a deal of offering so many choices through some of those subtle variations. After all, how different can the taste of Cream Cheese & Chive and Parmesan Basil really be?

Plastic Surgery, Lois SternPlastic Surgery, Lois Stern

It seems to me that selecting the right plastic surgery procedure today is a bit like shopping for a box of Wheat Thins. Years ago, we had our choice of the Original product, Low Sodium or Reduced Fat. Similarly, a generation or two ago, aesthetic plastic surgery consisted of a very short list of options: facelift (rhytidectomy), eyelid lift (blepharoplasty or eyelidplasty), and browlift (aka forehead lift), along with the occasional chemical peel or dermabrasion.

Dr. Lawrence Bass, a plastic surgeon with an active NY private practice, Director of Minimally Invasive Plastic Surgery at NYU School of Medicine and active member of the ASAPS, explains further.

“Surgeons used a number of variations on these basic procedures in their individual practices and then adjusted for the specific needs of their patient, but these variations were technical surgical details rarely shared with the patients. When choices were so limited, it was rather easy for patients to focus on which procedure they wanted. The patient of the 1970’s and 1980’s who experienced facial droopiness or extra skin in the cheek, neck or jowl area, came to the surgeon seeking a facelift (rhytidectomy). Similarly, those with puffiness or extra eyelid skin, requested an eyelid lift (eyelidplasty), and those with a sleepy, wrinkled forehead sought a browlift.,” explains Dr. Bass. “These were about the only facial rejuvenation techniques routinely available from a plastic surgeon, with an occasional cheek or chin implant to help enhance the overall aesthetic effect?

Today all that has changed. In the past two decades we have seen an unprecedented level of innovative surgical advances and refinement of surgical techniques.

“One manifestation of these advances has been a simplification of procedures, resulting in a marked decrease in surgical trauma and considerable reduction of total recovery time. Procedures were simplified to a minimum of required steps, including shorter, better-concealed incisions. Endoscopic procedures were introduced, using miniaturized instruments and a video camera attached to a long thin surgical telescope, allowing incisions for some procedures to be reduced in size or nearly eliminated.”

A different type of miniaturization arrived in the form of the mini-facelift. As surgeons began to recognize that not everyone needed a total facelift, the mini-facelift emerged as the popular “new kid on the block”.

“Some women had not aged sufficiently to suggest the need for a full facelift, while others, who had previously undergone a cosmetic procedure, wanted only a touch-up rather than a complete overhaul, To grasp the essence of the mini-facelift technique, understand that it is identical to the full facelift but is merely confined to a more limited region of the face and typically consists of an upper or lower half of the classic facelift. For example, if the cheek is droopy, an upper mini can be performed. If the jowl or neck area is droopy, a lower mini (sometimes referred to as a necklift) can be performed. With possible minor modifications, the procedure is performed similarly to the classic facelift and provides comparable results in terms of degree and durability, while posing fewer risks, less scarring, reduced costs and more rapid recovery time. “

Not simply a technical advance, Dr. Bass explains that the mini-facelift represents a philosophical recognition by surgeons and patients alike that sometimes the best result can be obtained by addressing specific features rather than remaking the entire face. Broad media exposure has further increased public awareness of these technical innovations, resulting in a substantial growth in the overall number of such procedures being performed

In contrast to the mini-facelift, the endoscopic facelift is one which takes a fundamentally different approach than the full or classic facelift:

“Although the endoscopic procedure uses incisions which are significantly shorter and better hidden than those in the classic facelift (resulting in a reduction in the length of visible scars), the release and lift performed internally and the type of fixation for the lifted facial structures are not the same as in the full or classic facelift. The plane or level under the skin in which structures are released is different and the direction of redraping may differ as well.”

Dr. Bass cautions that while a lot of data exists about results with classic procedures even when they are trimmed down to a smaller area, much less is known about results with novel procedures designed to minimize surgery by implementing a totally different method.

The consumer of today is being offered a dizzying array of aesthetic enhancement choices – so many that it can be positively confounding. Which ones are subtle changes from well-established practices? Which ones are breakthroughs that are likely to revolutionize the future of cosmetic surgery? Which ones have simply been renamed and touted as new to attract the attention of the gullible or uninformed? It takes real effort to sort through all the options, to separate those offering decided improvements to past practices from those that represent sound bites of advertorial hype.

They were the perfect couple: He composed and she sang his songs. British ex-couple Sir Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Sara Brightman may no longer love each other, but they share the same love for plastic surgery.

Andrew Lloyd Webber, Eyelid Surgery, Browlift

Sir Andrew Lloyd-Webber is currently appearing on American Idol where he is helping to mentor the remaining contestants. The British composer has never been the most attractive man, but in recent years, he has taken on a downright peculiar appearance. Some parts of his face look unusually tight and some look like they really do belong on the 60-year old man. Sir Andrew is beginning to look like the facially deformed hero of his famous work The Phantom of the Opera, with his wide-open eyes, the work of a possible blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) and browlift (forehead lift), but an aging, drooping double chin.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn agrees, saying, “A person can look unusual if one part of his or her face is rejuvenated and younger-looking, while the rest of the face continues to look older” attributing to the half young/half old look to an “upper blepharoplasty, where the excess skin of his upper eyelids was removed. They look much more open now. This may have been combined with a browlift as well.”

This is the risk of plastic surgery when someone decides to address only one area of their face, as this can result in asymmetry in the overall appearance and lead one to look older in one area but younger in another. This is common in poorly executed plastic surgeries that leave the recipient of the surgery looking unnaturally young and old at the same time. A better approach for Sir Andrew would have been to focus on all the facial structures and address them all together.

Sir Andrew’s influence on his ex-wife, British singer Sara Brightman, doesn’t seem to have ended with their marriage and musical collaborations, as the 47-year old beauty also looks to have gone under the knife.

Sara Brightman, Botox, Laser Skin Resurfacing

Sara Brightman is best known for her collaborations with Sir Andrew, but has also found success in a solo career, focusing on combining her classically trained voice with elements of pop music. When Sara was married to the much older Sir Andrew, she had a nearly middle-aged appearance, with frizzy hair and wore loose fitting matronly clothes. Now, the singer has a younger boyfriend and looks much younger herself, with glowing skin and wearing snug-fitting clothes. The singer has admitted to having undergone liposuction in her twenties, as well as having a crown on a chipped tooth. It appears, though, that she also underwent a nose job in her younger years.

Sara attributes her youthful appearance to her move from Britain to Germany at the beginning of the 1990s. She has also said, “I was quite middle-aged when I was younger. I always felt older than my years, maybe because I was married to someone older.”

Geographic moves aside, Make Me Heal thinks that Sara may be leaving out some cosmetic procedures along the way to Germany. We suspect some form of laser skin resurfacing, like ActiveFX and possible dermal injections, like Botox, as the soprano seems to have remarkably smooth skin and only a few fine lines and crow’s feet around her middle-aged eyes. Moreover, Sara’s nose may have withstood a second nose job, as her tip appears more upturned than before.

Since their split in 1990, Sara seems to have undergone successful plastic surgery procedures, restoring her youthful appearance, and while Sir Andrew appears to have had some work done, it does not seem to have been especially successful in giving him an entirely natural appearance.

Ordinarily when Make Me Heal hears rumors of 49-year old actress Jamie Lee Curtis going under the knife, the stories are variations of possible sex-change operations. Now, Jamie has still has not addressed the rumors of being born a male, but has openly admitted to having had plastic surgery in the past.

Jamie Lee Curtis, Liposuction, Eyelid Surgery

The 49-year-old actress has revealed she underwent a blepharoplasty surgery on her lower eyes when she was 35, after a cameraman told her she was too “puffy” for him to shoot, and she has had work done since, including some admitted liposuction and Botox. Make Me Heal calculates that the liposuction happened around the time she did her famous striptease in the film True Lies.

Although her career has continued to thrive, Jamie Lee Curtis isn’t pleased with the results of her cosmetic surgeries, saying “I did it all but, you know what, it didn’t work. The fraud is it doesn’t work; it doesn’t work because there are complications, and I got them all. It doesn’t work because you still look in the mirror and you see the fraud of what you were trying to do.”

Jamie Lee Curtis, Blepharoplasty, Eyelid Surgery

Plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia says that some of the problems Jamie experienced could have been caused by her being too young for eyelid surgery, not having enough fat to remove for liposuction. Additionally, Jamie may have experienced complications from an admitted substance abuse problem in the past. People with addictions make for poor plastic surgery candidates and should stay away from the knife, as they are likely to have the wrong reasons to have plastic surgery and to be unhappy with the results.

Now, Jamie Lee Curtis says that women should grow old gracefully because people who do have some kind of plastic surgery rarely feel better about themselves afterwards. She says women considering plastic surgery need to think long and hard before engaging in an industry that sells “fraud” to make women think they will feel better about themselves after undergoing their procedures.

Make Me Heal is sympathetic that Jamie is not pleased with the results of her plastic surgeries and urges candidates to decide for themselves rather than follow the advice of celebrities, whether they are for or against plastic surgery. However, plastic surgery is not here to change your life on every level, nor treat emotional issues and make one feel better, as in the end it is treating your surface imperfections. As long as you know what you’re in for and have reasonable expectations of the outcomes and their impact on your life, you should not emerge as unhappy, disillusioned, and cheated as Jamie Lee Curtis feels.
