Suzanne Somers is one busy lady, acting and singing and promoting her various health and wellness products. But it looks like the author and businesswoman is never too busy for some plastic surgery.
64-year old Suzanne Somers made a name for herself playing ditzy blonds, but she has proved to be anything but, promoting controversial health remedies and appearing on various talk programs. It seems that in addition to talking about medical procedures, Suzanne has also fit in some plastic surgery.
Although Suzanne has a fuller figure than she did in her bouncing youth, the Thighmaster master has an even fuller face, indicating that she has had plastic surgery. Suzanne could be undergoing any number of things to make her face unusually plump, ranging from an overload of injectables like Sculptra and Radiesse or fat grafts to a facelift to a stem cell facelift. In addition, she may have had a lip augmentation as well, as her lips don’t appear to have thinned with age, as is common.
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “It is difficult to recognize Suzanne Somers after her cosmetic surgery to her face. Her cheeks, lower face and lips are very full. Either she is still very swollen from a recent facelift, or she has had substantial injections, most likely her own fat, to her face. Or a combination of both. I suspect that the fullness in her face will go down in the next few weeks and depending on how her face looks then will be revealing of what she actually did to her face.”
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Suzanne Somers appears to have had Botox, facial fillers, a facelift, necklift, and there is a possibility she had a lip augmentation. She would not benefit from any additional procedures at this time.”
On his blog, plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn says, ” Now, don’t get me wrong. Back in the day, I really liked Suzanne Somers. She could have knocked on my door anytime. But now… what the heck happened to her face? Her face is so puffy it looks like it’s been stung by a hive of bees. ”
“My most faithful blog readers may recall a post from just over a year ago stating that Suzanne was planning to have a stem cell facelift. If you don’t remember, you can check out the post here. Well, it appears that she may have done just that. ”
“So what is a stem cell facelift, you ask? It’s basically facial fat grafting using fat that is supercharged with stem cells. A doctor harvests some fat via liposuction, removes concentrated stem cells from a portion of it, then injects the remaining fat that is ‘supercharged’ with the stem cells into areas of the face which are gaunt. The idea is that the stem cells will cause a greater percentage of the grafted fat to survive and possibly even improve the skin quality. Currently there are a handful of physicians advertising stem cell facelifts in the U.S. but in reality the machinery needed to remove and concentrate stem cells are not FDA approved for cosmetic use. HOWEVER, there are people in other countries who may be using real stem cells to enhance their facelifts, so it is definitely possible that Suzanne went overseas to get this procedure done. ”
“She obviously had something done to give her a pillow face!”
Makemeheal.com hopes that Suzanne comes clean about her appearance, the way she has about her personal health issues.
